Hi Just wanted to confirm that the no. of days mentioned to submit the document at VFS prior to the interview are working days or normal days???

In my case it is 14 days I was wondering if it is 14 days or 14 working days???

It is always working days (5 days per week).

do we really need W2 how many year of W2 do we need and do i also need a self employed compnany letter head or check stub what else is misssing can you please fill in the stuff other then commmon stuff do you think we should take to the consulate at the time of the interivew

Thanks Navyk......I went to VFS today they told that they will start collecting the documents of January interview from 15th to 22nd of December and a signed DS-230 is must with current date

It is either IRS Tax transcripts or copy of the full tax return files (includes W2). And if you choose to send just the latest year, then it is just one else if you choose to send latest 3 years, then 3.

Pay stub is not a required documents but helps. Please send what is required and optional and nothing more.

Yes, at some consulates the latest W-2 copy was asked even after latest 3 IRS tax transcripts were submitted with I-864.

I would take the latest pay stub showing the YTD income and the most recent tax year's W-2.

Hi I have questions for submission of documents at VFS in Ahmedabad. Do we have to submit original birth certificate at VFS? We have already submitted the original birth certificate at NVC. What should we say if they ask for it? I have heard that they might ask for original birth certificate.

If any body has experience with VFS in Ahemdabad, please let me know.

I went to VFS to check the documents that I need to submit.See as you have already submitted the original birth certificate you need not to submit any more birth certificate just give them the xerox copy, now if they ask for original one just show him the appointment letter where the Original Birth certificate is marked as O (means they are already having the Original birth certificate).

Thank you for the reply. This will help a lot. My wife also went to VFS and asked about documents need to submit. They did not mention the original birth certificate and just a copy. But one of my friends' wife was asked about it. She already had the original available, which she submitted upon request. She also submitted original birth certificate to NVC as well. I just wanted to make sure if anybody out there, who is done with submitting documents to VFS, has encountered such scenario and what they have done.

But your answer does help to make argument to VFS that we have submitted original and we don't have another original except copy.

I was wondering if any one of you have received the interview package, as told by NVC??? I am still waiting for it.VFS told me to bring the interview package too that i will be receiving from Mumbai (Though I know even if I don't receive it there will be no problem.
