interview schedule set but no biometrics?

Hello Everyone,

I am so confused. I received my NOA yesterday saying my interview will be Dec 4th. HOORRAAYYY!!! Then I realized "I havent done my biometrics yet! nor them sending me a request or a schedule for it!" could it be possible? or do I have to call them?

It is not possible to receive an appointment for interview without having done your biometrics.Your fingerprints need to be cleared by the FBI after which only, the USCIS will schedule an interview. What exactly is printed on the letter that you received?

If you have done biometrics within the last 12 months (or 16 months) then they may skip requesting them as the old ones are still valid...

I am not sure about it though. I got my Biometrics for I-90 Replacement in September. For my N-400 they make do FP+Bio again last week. I sent my I-131 application last week and they are sending me another FP+Bio appointment notice. It is possible they are using the old information in OP's case, but I was told that every new application even if it is applied on the same day they need a Biometrics done for each application. I could be wrong, this is what I was told by Atty also.

As long as they did not ask, I would say this is a situation where "do not poke the bear" comes to mind. You can ask the IO during your interview but I wouldn't call and place a service request.

There could be other reasons that we cannot understand though

Thank u for the reply. The letter states the usual "you are hereby notified for an interview for your Application for Naturalization....." no further notification.
