Should the NVC Case # be written on the original documents (I don't want to invalidate their authenticity) requested for the AOS or just on the copies?

I did not write on mine.

I seen someone else placed stick it notes on the originals so they can just be pulled off easily.

We wrote on replaceables with ink pen on the upper right corner. On the sensitive and originals, we wrote in pencil the same place so we can erase. Didn't want to take the chance of sticky falling off.

I used a stick paper to write the NVC case number on the Originals - Don't write anything on the Originals. Actually writing the NVC Case number is not a requirement - it is only done hoping that the official at NVC will find the documents quick, if he/ she drops those. Not a bif deal.

Thank you Navyk for your reply. I guess the verdict is in ...I'll stick with post-it notes. I was going to write the info on the blank back side of the originals because I didn't want to deface them in any way, but post-it notes will do.

I wrote mine on top/right, right above the Form I-864 with black ball point pen on all eight pages - no problem. Do the same if you have co-sponsors but do not write anything else on other ORIGINAL documents such as Birth Certificate and alike. Good luck.

Thank you for your reply, JoeVisa. I'll be writing the case no. on the I-864, I was just wondering what others were doing about the original civil docs.
