what fuss = I-129F's being put into Administrative Processing @ NVC.

Sorry, I thought you knew of this.

My apologies if that's not the case.

I am very aware of this. I was among the first group of K1's being subjected to AP on K1's at NVC, and I was there the longest. The fuss was that none of us knew then what it was, everyone told us K1's do not do AP at NVC. People are still being told that. That is why the fuss, and the anxiety, it was out of the ordinary. Many of us received multiple letters, three and four, to advise our petitions had been sent on, when in fact they were not. My own consulate in Auckland was unaware of the change.

NVC would not tell us what it was, there was nothing on Visa Journey to tell us what was going on. It was very unusual, and we were all very worried about it, because we had nothing to compare wait times to. That is why the spreadsheet from the first thread.

If you are a K1 petitioner, it can still be a big worry, and can cause a delay. It's disheartening to see everyone else who filed around the same time you did, zipping in and out of NVC in just a few days, having packets three and four sent out, while you still wait. It isn't much comfort to know that the times are way down from when they started this, if you are the one yanked out of line to undergo it. That is why I sympathize with anyone in the same situation, no matter if it is just a few extra days, or a couple of weeks.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

9/10/12 NVC got our case. The woman said it would be finished up & sent out later that day. Called the next day & they had entered my fiance's DOB wrong, so I had to get scanned copies of his Birth certificate & passport to prove. When I called back to confirm it was taken care of (after asking for a supervisor), I was told that it hasn't left NVC & is going through "Additional Processing". They have only had it 6 days (including weekend). I'll start calling again tomorrow.
