Canadian Passport Expires After Submitting AOS?

Hi there!

Does anyone know anything about what happens if your Canadian passport expires while you are in the USA waiting for your AOS application to go through?

I am on an F-1 visa in the USA. I will be submitting my AOS in November. My Canadian passport will expire in December.

1. Is there something I should do about it? If so, what?

2. What if I receive my AP and want to go back to Canada for a weekend --but my passport is still expired. What does that mean?

3. How can I renew my passport while waiting for AOS interview?

Apply for a renewal of the passport. You need it for air travel and it's a very important document to have even if you have a green card.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.
