Long story short, I currently live with my gf in Argentina (I am a US citizen) and we plan on moving to the US. I will be going first to start the process and get a job and everything setup.

I read the other day about the US verifying my employment to be 25% over the poverty line. But I can't remember where I read it or what step they verify it.

Basically, I am trying to figure out the timing of the earliest I can start the K1 process and find a job.

Can someone tell me about what step on this link: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1flow that the USA will want my employment records?

Thanks for your time!

they will want to see that you can support your fiance when she has an interview in Argentina... so about 6 months after filing the visa petition. you need to be 125% above the poverty level but if your not then you will be able to use a co-sponsor so long as the Argentine consulate allows it
