Went to interview today but they told me that I need to be LPR for 3yrs.they told me that its their mistake that I got the interview letter earlier. I became LPR on 12/06/08.

in this case do i need to call USCIS and request the interview letter or just wait and see.

As per USCIS Calculator the earliest you could have filed was 09/10/2011. Your NOA date is 09/12/11.

They could have interviewed you and scheduled your oath in later part of Dec.

Did they say they will schedule your interview for a later date?

Weird, they could have proceeded with the interview but do the oath after your third anniversary. That is usually what they do.

Do they do same-day oaths at your local office? That might be the reason why they are rescheduling.

No they don't do same day oath there. For oath I have to travel to other city.

Really interesting then that they did not do the interview and scheduled your oath at a later date. At this point you can only wait for the new interview letter.

Yeah I hope so. I called USCIS and request a new letter but they told me that my field office will send a new interview letter.
