good day everyone! im a new member here. my name is Anna and my fiance's name is Lee. We submitted our I-129F December of last year but it got returned twice. It only went through last August. It is on the run for 3 months now. Will the results be out anytime soon? Our relationship started last March of 2006. So we've ben together for almost 6 years now. And by the way, what is RFE? As far as evidence, NOA is Notice of Acceptance, am i correct? Any thoughts would be helpful. Thank you very much and God Bless Us All.

Request for evidence. It means that USCIS want you to submit more evidence or document to be able to process your application.

NOA = notice of action.

RFE = request for evidence.

If you have been waiting only 3 months for the initial process because of rejected petitions far you have another 2-3 months to go before approval would show up.

RFE is request for evidence. You will get that if the reviewer thinks that there's something missing on what you've submitted. Say incomplete pages of the Divorce Decree, missing form, no signature or missed out question. You will be instructed what to do via mail.

NOA1 or Notice of Action 1 is what you get when the USCIS received your application. Just received.

NOA2 or Notice of Action 2 is what you get if the USCIS approved your application. From this point on, the application will be forwarded to Manila Embassy and Manila Embassy will notify you that you can go ahead and schedule your medical and interview. You can't get on this point if you didn't respond to the RFE, if there's any.

NOA is just a term that people have come up here on VJ. I am not sure if USCIS if aware of it but we all understand each other.

USCIS does not care how long the relationship has been provided that you could satisfy what they are asking. YOu should have at least got NOA1, ask your fiance what's the number so you could see the status here.

Very GOOD answer

In addition:

NOA 1 : Where you can find the receipt that you can use for checking your visa status in the USCIS website.

NOA 2 : Where you are being notiified that your application is being approved and will be sent to NVC. Once the NVC received the approved application, they will send the petitioner a letter containing your mnl case number which you can use for your medical examination and interivew scheduling.

Goodluck and GOD bless!!

Wow! Thank you very much everyone for the prompt reply. I typed wrongly earlier, i was gonna say, as far as evidence i did not keep all the letters he sent me, including a few greeting cards he sent me in the last 6 years. but on the contrary, he kept mine, thanks God. I just did not expect he'd want me to move to the States. Thank you very much, now I know what NOA means and RFE. Yes, our application has been sent back twice due to some incomplete files. But it was finally accepted last August 8. I am now preparing the things we will need so hopefully, no RFE for us, God forbid. My fiance told me there was an attached "priority thing" with the 2nd time they sent back the application, i'm not sure if there was during the 3rd time he submitted it and finally went through. So basically my NOA2 will be out on January, no later? People here in VJ are really helpful. Thank you!
