LOL...that's about it though. It's like our vacation hot spot for folks up here. Seattle or a direct flight to Hawaii, but most opt for Seattle.

I'm going to borrow my cousins boat and take her to Kirkland and hit the bars and then over to Ivars on Lake Union and if there's time over to Bainbridge Island on the ferry. Space Needle for sure, and Pike Place Market and hopefully Ocean Shores. Then the casino over in Lake Chelan so she can see what a desert looks like.

I vacationed quite a bit in Seattle while living in Alaska. The "Hoonah Samonite" contingent is probably gearing up for the exodus very soon after release of the PF starting next week.

Coldest I have known was north of Milwaukee. I spent the first winter there - banged up in a wooden house. Wooden houses were new to me. I used to have 200 hens and 50 rabbits and wooden houses were chicken huts to me. After a few months I was going stir crazy. I suggested we go for a walk as it was blue sky and sunny. She said " Are you sure". She is from Wisconsin and she knew

We got togged up and set off. I got 100 yards and my nose turned purple and my face started to crack up and die off.

We did a U turn and got back to the casa mega fast.

It was 3 degrees F when I got there on the 3rd November, so January was...aaaarggghhh a lot below zero !!!

I want to go back to Safety Harbor, Florida with the dolphins and manatees and palm trees and Ospreys.

She misses her mom in Milwaukee. No way !

She always lived in a concrete apartment building, ALL concrete, ALL the walls and floors are concrete, ALL of them are 5 stories (the highest they can get water without booster pumps) and NONE of them have an elevator...that works.
