Well, we've finally gotten our waiver and request to expedite filed today in Manila. With our assistance our lawyer and a licensed social worker/psychologist put together a compelling package telling our story. I pray we'll be ok on this and maybe by the New Year we'll be together. We covered pretty much everything from my surgery rehabs to my upcoming surgery to my depression. We'll see if getting a lawyer involved for misrepresentation is worth it. Currently the latest stats from immigrate2us.net says 1 in 4 get waivers.......wish us luck.

Thanks much Leatherneck, word is it takes two years about to appeal if rejected on the first request so we brought out the sledge hammer to drive the nail.

In 2003 she "dressed up" her visitor visa application with a "better' employer on advice of a visa fixer company, someone who promises expert advice for those seeking visas. The embassy called to check and found it false so they banned her for life for it. She was employed and had no intent on staying had she been permitted in with the visitor visa, she just wanted to get one to come and see the US. Still rules are rules and she was honest about the whole thing. We didn't find out about the life ban till the interview for our CR1 interview.

We accept our ban, and yes, a lie is a lie but still......... thanks for sharing with us and it should be a simple case.......but...this is Manila and who knows. We appreciate your input.
