hi everyone, i'm new around here but i do hope some of you can help me out by giving inputs and advices regarding our application status. We have submitted our i-130,i-765 and i-485 packets and we received our notice of action already. When we submitted our paperwork we included in the cover letter a certification of my husbands' upcoming deployment which would be next month. Now, if you may notice this thread im writing here is november 2011 and my husband is deploying next month dec 2011. So it is quite a time crunch. My question is it best/advisable that we call USCIS and inform them about the upcoming deployment? (I am asking this question since we submitted together with our cover letter the deployment certification already). Or should I just wait knowing and hoping that the letter would be enough? What should I do to help this process go accordingly. It's hard to deal with the stress on this paperwork and dealing with the deployment idea as well.

Any inputs would be very much appreciated.

Call the CSC 800 NUMBER right away and speak to the first tier operator and then ask for the "Expedite Department." Talk to the second tier operator that will be the supervisor and go from there! Don't wait and Good luck!

I've recently went through this process as I am pending a deployment as well. I submitted my expedite request with my package and followed up with a phone call (1-877-CIS-4MIL, 1-877-247-4645). It would help a great deal to have your orders and a letter from the Commanding Officer. Shoot me a PM and I can share the details if you prefer. Good Luck and God Bless.

Yes, we did the exact same thing as well. We stated the time fram of the deployment, we also attached a letter from the command. What worries me is the time crunch and the upcoming numerous holidays. We were thinking that it may be too much if we hog them about our application, but i think it is best that we call them asap and hopefully they will do something to help.

In my case, including in the packet my husband's military order didnt help... After a week of sending it last august, and after i received my receipts i called them to folliw up or check my expedite request, and it didnt go through(the letter explanation of my husbands deployment), the operator that i talked to advised me too do a phone call expedite request.. So we did it on spot! Anf it helps!

So it would be better if u would still inform them through call..
