Hey all!

Hope you had a good and well holiday and new year! I'm going in for my biometrics next well. All in all? So far? A pretty uneventful process, that's for sure. Hope I didn't just jinx myself saying that.

Had a great holiday -- had some time off work but not it's back to the grind -- I was really enjoying lazing about and reading and hanging out.

USCIS -- ROC package sent off

November 26, 2011 to Vermont station November 30, 2011 received NOA1December 16, 2011 received biometrics appointment.

January 04, 2012 Biometrics

September 2, 2012, RFE Received.

September 22, 2012 RFE responded to

October 15, 2012 ROC approved, 10 Green card on its way.

I had my second biometrics appointment Thursday last. The result was about the same.

It, so far, is so freaking easy! Seriously -- not issue at all. Had my biometrics done on Monday and it took about 10 minutes. No waiting. Seriously -- if you did the CR or fiancee process, this part is a snap.

So far.

USCIS is rather silly. They sent my reminder letter to my MIL's house, despite my having complied with their need for us to change our address on file with them each time we move (which we've done three times). Anywho, turns out I was a month late on my thinking, and my renewal window actually starts in a week, not at the end of February...

So, today's day off turns into paperwork day. Yay.

In light of my changed timeline, I had a question for you folks. The apartment we're currently at is the first we've had registered in our names. Previously, we lived in two different apartments with my step-BIL, and initially with Ben's mom. With the AoS paperwork, I went the extra mile and had my MIL write a letter saying the house was in her name and I had lived there since my entry... but I'm wondering if that's necessary again, or if a supplement explanation of my own summarizing all of the addresses will do.

Thoughts?

01/08/2010 - Applied for SSN in maiden name.

01/09/2010 - Married! Officially a Missis.

01/19/2010 - Received SSN in mail.

02/10/2010 - Sent I-485/I-131/I-765 to Chicago.

02/19/2010 - NOA dates for all applications.

02/22/2010 - Received NOAs in mail.

02/23/2010 - Applied for SSN for married name.

03/04/2010 - Applied for Florida DL in married name.

You could write your own letter stating all the addresses and such but, cant really say if the person who gets your file will be picky and say not good enough I want written letters/lease agreements from thos people.

Hey everyone! I'm bumping this thread up.

My ROC was approved this morning!

We were approved without a joint mortgage or lease agreement. Hopefully that's helpful to some of you who were worried!

And that is excellent to hear... Our apartment management was giving us the run-around in giving us a copy of the signed lease, and we're in the process of purchasing our first home... so I'm hopeful now, at least. :)

Just did a successful walk-in biometrics at the Cleveland ASC; was scheduled for Buffalo on the 19th. Got a little bit of the evil eye from the clerk but when I told her I worked in Cleveland and this was easier than a two hour drive out of the way it seemed to be OK (I waited for the people with actual appointments first). On to approval without interview (hopefully)!
