uscis sent the petition direct to consulate

hi vj's,

I received my noa2 hardcopy yesterday and on noa2 they mentioned that uscis couslate sent my petition to u.s embassy in india and today I called to the nvc they said the same thing. is it possible ? please give me your answers.thank you so much

Yep any thing is possible in this game, everything goes to NVC whether they say so or not.

Nope... ALL petitions go through NVC for clearance and assigning of case number before being forwarded to US Embassy in your beneficiary's country.

Notices from NVC can be a little misleading, but trust in that ALL petitons stop there and are shipped DHL from there to the Embassy.

Even its mentioned on my NOA2 that uscis forwarded my petition to consulate and NVC said the same thing. I am confused

Nope they didnt. They said the samething for me. It has to go through nvc first before reaching your embassy. took mines about three weeks before nvc received my noa2.

NVC is a quick turn around point for K-Fiancee visa's. They accept the file and then there is a quick turn around to send it to the correct consulate based on the jurisdiction you reside in.

Several people have had this done to them and no matter what USCIS says, the application stops at the National Visa Center before it's sent to the consulate/embassy abroad.
