Not yet. But we are starting to do the papers for this week. I've heard somewhere -through gravepine wacko.gif- someone got an RFE because he did not send enough for his relationship evidence to USCIS. I was like, oh man, it can't be happened to me just because my fiance refuses to send additional proofs. That's why I'm started thinking I'm going to get an RFE after the I-129F sent out later this month. Finally, we made some compromise of it. Especially that many VJers gave me many inputs. good.gif

Well don't worry about an RFE yet, if he hasn't even sent it... If you're not together in person at the moment you can help him prepare and arrange the I-129F on Skype together. That way you both have piece of mind knowing it's all there, correct and present, to the best of both your abilities.

You seem to comment on posts on here alot, I would have thought you and your fiance already had your petition underway.

The sooner it's sent the sooner you can be together. I wouldn't stall now, because you'll have months of waiting ahead.

Good luck.

Thank you,innocent.gif. Yes, we are talk massively everyday on Skype. I actually asked him to wait for a while after met in person a few months back in Singapore because I want to learn the process of I-129F and K-1 visa. I don't want to hurry. Also, as people have said before - for the I-129F it's more about having met in the past 2 years. So you need boarding passes, travel itineraries, receipts, anything to prove you have met and been together within the past 2 years. Skype records and emails, texts etc, comes later. It doesn't hurt to send it now. We sent some, Skype, Facebook messages etc, but focused more on my boarding passes, passport stamps there, and his coming here to see me. And photos together. We sent 10 photos of us together, at places in America and England. Photos are secondary "evidence" but help back up the written information you send. Make sure the photos are dated. I wrote our names, the place the photo was taken and the date on the back of each photo.

Yes, I wish my fiance would agree to put a couple of Skype screenshots but he insists just to do what USCIS says on websitewacko.gif. But, since all VJers here gave me best suggestions, I would let my fiance organised all of the items that we would adding to I-129F. I'm already prepared all mine and just wait to send by mail.

Yes, speaking about the pictures, we had a few tense conversations about that. He only thought passport photograph size that would be needed. But when I've sent him our pictures together by Shutterfly he was like," hey I did not read about these pictures information on the website. And I was like," oh okay Baby you can keep them all, but the pictures are designed as a real evidence that we have met in person. I would not have second thoughts if people showed me a bunch of pictures rather than just reading all information on papers". He was silence for a while and said ,"okay but I wanted to keep some of them". Luckily, I sent a lot of pictures our together to pleasant him, and can choose whatever he wants.rofl.gif

Thank you teapotgurl. I'm really appreciated it.good.gif

I didn't include a lot of evidence of on going relationship with the I-129F either, only asks for proof of meeting in person, for that I included flight info, hotel receipt and of course a picture. Now for the actual visa process I have a pile of stuff ready and I wrote a detailed letter of our meeting. Don't think you need all that with the I-129f

My husband was exactly the same!

I spent time scrambling for things that VJ said we needed only to find out that he was totally right! :) If I had listened to VJ I would have paid $400 to get a replacement document that VJ said was absolutely necessary...but it wasn't!

Saying that, VJ has been a great resource and it made this whole process easier for me...but my husband has never looked at it and we were approved quickly with no RFE's! :)

Gary, I was read -my guess on this forum, someone got an RFE because he doesn't have enough proof of relationship. That's why I pulled a bunch of documents about that. I might be over prepared, but better than sorry in the future.huh.gif. What do you think of it?

Proof of relationship is not required for the petition. I think if you actually read the RFE it will be for "proof of meeting in person"

At any rate, too much won't hurt anything

If anyone has received an RFE for "proof of relationship" for a K-1 petition, please see if they will let you post it here.

Yes, totally agreed. The funny part, I have spent a lot times at work and home stay in tune on VJ for a few months and even subscribed K-1 Visa forum but turned out all I don't use all those things.rofl.gif. I kept telling him about VJ and he was just nodding," okay Ma'am, oh I see Baby, or go ahead my Cupcake". He did looked at website that I've sent briefly but did not saying anything further. Now, I know whywacko.gif. BTW, I've seen your timeline and Gosh you waited only about 2 months for your NOA2, that's incredibly lucky for both of you.good.gif

Oh, It could be that. I sometimes get confused between proof of relationship and proof of meeting in person. Thank you Gary, good.gif. Needless to say, VJ is great resources for anyone whoever needs guideline to their Visa Journey.

VJ is great resources for anyone whoever needs guideline to their Visa Journey.
We have pages and pages of advice from people who are going through a powderpuff embassy where visas are handed out like candy, and from first-world embassies where little trouble is ever encountered.

Yes, it is true that USCIS does not require "evidence of bona fide relationship." No, it is not necessarily true that "you don't need to include anything other than what USCIS requires" or "you will be fine" or "you can save your evidence of relationship for the consular interview." Anyone who flatly recommends these things is offering potentially dangerous and certainly irresponsible advice, and anyone who believes it can end up in trouble during the consular phase that they never dreamed in their worst nightmare.

USCIS does not require evidence of bona fide relationship. However, the consulate does. Visa interviewees can show up for their consular appointment with armloads of evidence, and the consulate can refuse to accept what is brought, accuse the interviewee of "not enough evidence," and issue a 221g or refuse the visa outright.

If, however, the petitioner has front-loaded the USCIS petition with a sensible, appropriate amount of solid relationship evidence, USCIS will pass this on to the consulate. The consulates are not supposed to refuse a visa on the basis of information that USCIS has seen first.

Accordingly, the original poster (and her fiance) must read and heed the WORST reports from THEIR embassy! THAT is all that matters; it will dictate what they should or might include in the PETITION filing beyond what USCIS requires at minimum; and sensible action along this line NOW can save boatloads of trouble LATER.

OP, quit reading this thread, immediately go atop any VJ page, click "Reviews: Embassy," and read two years' worth of reviews from YOUR EMBASSY, paying attention to the WORST-CASE reports. Quit listening to any Manila filer or anyone from anywhere else who tells you what WILL or WILL NOT happen from the standpoint of their own experience, which is irrelevant to you. If you read anything troubling, and your fiance insists on operating with blinders on (following purely what USCIS wants), then he will be contributing to a potentially perilous situation later.

Wow. Thank you TBoneTX. I went to Embassy reviews and I found a lot information spesifically about many things that I had wondered long time ago. This is an excellent suggestion, thought it never crossed on my mind to find them since my fiance and I still in initial petition for K1 Visa. But again, I found many answer that I've asked before and no one replied back to me very clearly. good.gif
