in my case, we gave Skype video call screenshots and some Facebook wallpost screenshots in our initial I-129F petition, and there was no problem.

Yes, I have Skype screenshots video calls. But he doesn't have facebook or any other social networks so I would not going to think USCIS would see my fiance as a weird person and we get an RFE for itwacko.gif. I prepared all of screenshots of Skype video calls and he said I don't have to. huh.gif

Of course we also submitted other more important proofs, such as copies of boarding passes, hotel receipts, and all that.) NOA2 received in 71 days

That's make a sense for my fiance and he agrees for these stuffs to include for proof of meeting (in person) within last 2 years. I think I'm succeed to convince him at that part.laughing.gif

Your fiance is technically correct. However, front-loading of the petition MAY BE valuable, depending on the consulate where the interview will occur. This earlier response, quoted below, is dead-nuts accurate, and you should pay close attention to it. In addition to asking others who have interviewed where you will interview, read the reviews for your consulate -- heeding the very WORST experiences in particular.

Proof of ongoing relationship is not required for the I-129f petition so you won't receive an RFE for this. However, it is recommended for some embassies/consulates (like Morocco, where COs are known for often not looking at any evidence brought to the interview) to front load the petition with any evidence you want to be sure the CO sees. Maybe you can find out from others who have gone through your specific consulate to see if they recommend front loading. If they do, then maybe you can explain to your fiance that although its not required, it will help you at the time of your interview.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Essentially this is a journey you are Both on. That being said you might want to ask what harm it would do to include a compromise of ten sheets of proof of relationship (i.e Skype calls etc). You might mention that even though the USCIS do not ask for it, it won't jeopardise your application but WILL give YOU peace of mind. My fiance won't log onto VJ either and worries that I spend to much time on it!! Probably true...but hey, we are all different. He follows the guidelines to the letter and no RFE for us yet. Mind you, he did include other proofs, only a couple, in the original application as without reading VJ he said 'better to be safe than sorry'. This is a very true adage, whether you follow VJ or Not. I think he did it for my peace of mind....hopefully your fiance will do the same for you :)

I agreed with you without any doubt. My fiance really strict when comes to get reliable informations. He knows I spent a lot times on VJ but he doesn't say anything. Yes, I think he finally made a compromise with my suggestions to include pictures together in Singapore, passport stamps, itinery, and hotel receipts. The only thing we are still in talk whether we need to include Letter of Intent to Marry from both of us. He still doesn't get why we need to send it at initial process.huh.gif.

We don't even have started yet. But, I'm going to think we will get an RFE for I-129F. The reason why, because my fiance only wants to follow official website USCIS. I have sent him K1 guide, I have done my research for a few months on this forum. I already have prepared everything all the papers we need, but he just wanted to send what USCIS writes on guide. Oh boy, at least if he's right we are on the right track, but if USCIS sends us an RFE, he will see that Visa Journey is correct one. whistling.gif, I just wanted he knows that I'm doing my best to avoid an RFEyes.gif.

VJ guides are based on the USCIS instructions. If he reads the instructions he will be fine.

RFEs are for missing items. If he includes everything he needs to, there will be no RFE. The vast majority of successful petitioners/visa applicants have never heard of VJ. Not to be negative of VJ, great site, but lets face it, most petitioners are not members here at all.

Gary, I was read -my guess on this forum, someone got an RFE because he doesn't have enough proof of relationship. That's why I pulled a bunch of documents about that. I might be over prepared, but better than sorry in the future.huh.gif. What do you think of it?

You need to tell your fiance that he does need the letter of intent to marry as it is on the USCIS site to add in with the petition. What he has is plenty for prrof of meeting you in the last 2 years all this other stuff you are talking about is secondary right now. You will need it at interview stage more so not for the petition. You wont get an RFE unless there is a document missing.

I guess about proof of ongoing relationship. I told him to print call logs on Skype, some emails, gift detail orders, chat history, call history to his work and cellphone using Skype service, and a bunch of additional papers. But he said doesn't want to send a bunch of documents that not says on USCIS website. He only agreed about pictures together in SIngapore, passport stamps, billing hotel, letter intent to marry and itinery. The rest of them.....a big no no.whistling.gif

I can't blame him for his action. He also very details about filing forms and another documents so I don't have to worry about it. I really wanted to follow what people have done for their I-129F on this forum and approved. But, I guess just have to dreaming about it,headbonk.gif. Thank you teapotgurl, I already have a folder for I-129F.

I didn't send any of those you mentioned sis. Just pix of us together..... and passsport stamp...

Yes, thank you Barbara. I already told him tonight. Somehow he missed that part. It doesn't say letter of intent to marry, it says provide original statement. I had to send him email this http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-129finstr.pdf to give an explanation about it.

Don't worry too much, If you have all that and they ask for a RFE you just send, your hubby is going to start getting used to hear "I told you".

By the way I did not send all that stuff and nobody asked us for it, even in the AOS interview, the girl just asked how did you meet and we both said Internet, all she said was "Oh, ok" and continued.

Thank you sist'. I'm just followed the guide on this forum for K-1 Visa. yes.gif. Oh well, since his works a part of Department of Homeland Security, he knows how to dealt with rules, so I let him handle I-129F and just ask me a few things.
