hi all.

i am a K1 waiting for my green card after filing for AOS. i received NOA1 and the biometric appointment letter, and today another Notice of action came home. it says they transfered my case from National benefits Center (Lee's summit ,MO) to California Service Center Laguna Miguel. CA.

i am living in New Jersey. and i was expecting them to transfer it in Newark office.

does this mean i am getting my GC without a interview? and or RFE?

or California its the stage before coming to Newark NJ?

thank you everybody :)

99% this means yes. However they can still rfe it, we had to redo the medical. We just received that we are approved and gc is on it's way.

I would say 2 months away from gc.

You can still get an interview. You can still get an RFE.

Often they will bounce the petition back to the local office for an interview if they so feel it needs to be interviewed. This has happened to VJ members.

You will just have to wait and see how the process plays out for you.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

I think you got approved! lets keep our fingers crossed.

A transfer is not an approval and its months after the transfer that you would hear an approval or an interview notice.

You may want to read up a bit more on the process so as to better help people when you post.

Hi all.

that transfer meant GC without interview. and the best of it all was that i received my GC a little after Christmas 2011 in the mail, without including form I693 in my AOS packet. wow... i should go back and knock down those smugglers doctors that asked me up to 300$ just to do a transcribe of my vaccines.

all good :)

My I-485 family based AOS was transferred to California on January 3rd this year, at that time I found somewhere that the processing time was 4 months. Approaching 4 months later I'm checking again and I can't find the processing times for this type of AOS at CSC, can someone point me in the right direction of these processing times?

Thanks,

Bob

They are not publishing the time for AOS from family based visas that transfer to CSC. I guess its easier not to publish when they are currently taking so long.

Thanks. Guess that's why I can't find it anywhere. How are we supposed to know when we can contact USCIS because it's outside normal processing times?

Oh wait! We can't! Good plan.

I have heard of some trying to get service requests. One was told come back when its been 7 months, another got his congressman involved and got one. I'm not sure if it has helped the process along yet. I was debating trying for a service request for us soon, as we're at 5 months now. All they can say is no I guess.

Your timeline says yours was transferred on 16th December, mine was transferred on Jan 3rd. When you get yours, post here and I'll start to look for mine

I like the part on the NOA which says "in order to speed up the process...."

I'm not sure its really working that way. I've seen approvals of people with transfers after our's. People seem to have been transfered at all types of weird times in the process to. Like people waiting two and three months then getting transfered, while our papers were transfered in less than a month from filing. I thought for sure a couple months ago, that we'd have seen the green card early this month. At least thats how the timing was looking. Now I haven't even a guess when our's will show up. Either people are not updating their timeline, or its really hit and miss with no order of processing them.

I think the "in order to speed up the process" was actually the process of getting the applications out of their office :hehe:

Just noticed my application was "touched" on the 29th March. Probably shifted to the "some time in the next year" pile from the "don't even think about it yet" pile

I would like to think that so, too! But hey, its killing in the butt! rofl.gif
