Well John made it and now he's already in contact regarding a job however I was thinking about the I-9 form and where you would mark if you are a perm resident and it asks for an A#....but we don't have the actual green card yet and I can't for the life of me see where the A# is listed in the passport. Does anyone know where we can find his A# so when he's filling out the paperwork for a job he can list the number? Thanks in advance!

Its on the NOA2 approval from the I-130 or it should be anyways.

Its on the NOA2 approval from the I-130 or it should be anyways.

Yeah I looked on there and there isn't any A number listed. I believe it's the registration number that's listed on the actual visa in the passport but other than that I can't find anything lol. Guess I'll keep hunting for an answer. Thanks though!

Some don't have it on their passport but its on the visa. If you cannot locate it call the NVC with your case number they assigned you and ask them for it.

Yep we looked EVERYWHERE on that receipt...nothing there at all. I thought it would show up but nope

No no. NOT the receipt. It's the petition approval notice, the NOA2, not the NOA1. The one that says they've approved the petition and sending to NVC for processing.

Well the NOA2 is a receipt as well lol. That's what I meant I looked at the NOA2 and it's not on there it just has his name, so I'm going to go with the registration number with an A and a 0 infront of that. I read that on another website as well so it's going to have to do

Okay yep the A is your alien number. Hope that works. :) You can always correct it once you get the GC if it's wrong.
