I have changed jobs since my wife filed for her AOS in March. Do I need to fill out a new I-864 Affidavit of Support or just bring the evidence that my current job meets the USCIS income requirements?

Also, what if I CANNOT obtain a dedicated letter saying that I am employed with them? It is a small company and has no in-house HR. All HR/Payroll functions are handled offsite/outsourced and the best that I can tell from our "employee access portal" website, there is no option for employment verification letter, just something called "Employee Snapshot" which basically states "As of (current date)," and lists all of my personal info, date of hire, weekly and annual salary, that my status is "Active/Regular/Salaried" and has my emergency contact info (my wife), etc. with an option to print it out but just in a way that looks more like a bank statement than a letter. The company "HR liaison" says she doesn't think they will do any employment verification letters (other than the Employee Snapshot from the website.)

Will USCIS accept the above, along with a copy of my offer letter (it was only an email from the dept. manager stating the offer and my response of acceptance) and all of my paystubs from hire date to current? I also have a "welcome letter" stating the position title/salary from the HR/payroll processing company...

I know someone else has to have been in a similar situation where their employer didn't handle "employment" issues and am wondering what you did to make USCIS happy... After waiting more than 7 months, we're now only 3 weeks away from the interview and I'm actually MORE nervous about having sufficient paperwork than I would have been if the interview had been within the normal 4 month timeframe.

The snapshot printout sounds like it has all the pertinent information on it. I would think it would be fine to use along with your most recent pay stubs. I would fill out a new I-864 and bring along the documentation for the new job just in case. They might not even ask for it, but it would be better to have it on hand rather than not.

I did the same thing (changed jobs after filing but before AOS interview in 2008).

The only thing I brought to our AOS interview was the last paystub I had received - dated the week before - it had the new employer's name on it. For us since we interviewed in August / filed in Feb we had not filed copies of the current years tax returns - so I brought that also (copies of tax return filed year of interview for previous year).

He did not ask for that either.

I never received or filed an employment letter from any employer anyway - used tax returns/W2's/bank statements + paystubs to declare / report income for 2008 I-864 and 2011 I-864.

The interviewer didnt ask anything about the I864 at our AOS interview. If you bring the one-page employment certificate (aka the hire date, salary, position, etc) + a recent paystub or 2 it should more than suffice.

I would not fill out or bring another I864.

i don't get it.
