We had my husband's interview today. The officer took me in first and I was in there the longest. He asked questions about me and my previous marriage, how long was i married and such. He didn't have me go into specifics as to why my other marriages failed. He said that he felt our marriage was a fast one (3 months after we met), I told him its because we had spent many hours together. And we got to know each other. Then he called my hubby in and he asked the same questions to him about being a fast marriage. After he called me in he asked for my hubby's passport (which we left at home) then said that we would get an answer with in 90 days, I asked what he felt, he looked very blankly at me and said its not up to him anymore but turned and told my husband to enjoy his life in the US! Ok, so does this mean he passed or do we have to start thinking of a stokes interview? What do u think

May I ask without being intrusive, why did you leave the passport at your home? I'm very curious. I am under the impression that bringing the passport to the interview is a must, but I may be very wrong. That's why I ask. If it is a must, was that a factor in not giving you a definite answer?

Those are my thoughts, basically.

Don't ever do anything you're not willing to explain the paramedics.

It sounds like you already had a mini-Stokes. Normally couples are interviewed together. Hopefully the IO was convinced and you will not have a second interview. It is hard to say as telling you they will let you know in 90 days is pretty typical. Good luck.

I thought that the passport was in all the stuff but he apparently took it out and put it in his brief case. I'm not sure if that was a factor or not.

I feel like sometimes the officer can't say outright that you passed but will in some way give you the "OK." The fact that the IO said, "Enjoy your life in the US." is a really good sign in my opinion. My IO did the same thing. She didn't say we passed but she smiled at me in a way that let me know that it was just a formality and I would be getting my GC. Try not to worry. It will all work out. :)

Sounds like you are all set, and that the IO had his doubts but he decided to cut bait given relative probability of fraud versus his stack of cases in front of him.

My guess and could be wrong. But I'll say congrats anyhow :)
