Hello..I am new to this site..

I filed I-130 in July and I got my sms and hard copy letter for NOA1 dated 07/20/2011 but after that I did not hear anything back from USCIS office on my case and its been more than 100 days.

Is this normal timing or should I call them?

Any suggestions!!!

Welcome to VJ and the wait time is very normal I would say give it at least to December.....good luck :thumbs:

They won't consider you "abnormal" until it's been more than 5 months.

Early July: Physical Green Card received in mail. Yes, it's green!

December 9, 2014: Case inquiry initiated

December 11, 2014: Response: "The processing of your case has been delayed. A check of our records establishes that your case is not yet ready for decision, as the required security checks remain pending."

March 14, 2014: Received NOA that approval had been given on March 10; expect new GC within 60 days.

Hello..I am new to this site..

mine is 1 month 1 day, man i keep counting the days ..time walks like a turtle to me :unsure: i was worried so much that i couldn't check My Status Case on the site...i thought "what the heck has happened with my case?" :blink:

so good that mine is still..., hopefully "normal". amen.

- June 7, 2011, married
- Sept 28, 2011 1st Packet sent
- Sept 29, 2011, received NOA 1
- April 4, 2012, received NOA 2, move to NVC
- May 15, 2012, Case Number assigned!
- May 16, 2012, I 864 Bill paid
- May 19, 2012, Emailed DS 3032 to NVC
- May 24, 2012, Returned Completed DS 3032
- May 24, 2012, Received IV Bill
- May 24, 2012, Paid IV Bill
- May 31, 2012, AOS package SENT
- June 14, 2012, Package IV SENT
- June 26, 2012, CASE COMPLETED! 1 month, 1 week and 4 days since NVC received

My best advice for not getting obsessed with your case is to get busy and stay active. It was when I stopped thinking about it all the time that the NOA2 (and then future notifications) arrived via text message at 9 pm. This is a hurry-up-and-wait game, and it really sucks to let your energy and mood get directed by it.

You can check the status online and it is better way. If it has passed more than 100 days, then wait a while more. It sometimes may take 120 days or max 5 months. Hoping that your case will be approved by end of Nov.

5 months is the time limit that USCIS suggests. You can not do anything (congressional/senatorial/state representative inquiry) until those 5 months have lapsed.

If you want to stay ahead of the game you can write up a letter to send to either one of these political positions just in case you do not get your NOA2 in the 5 month suggested time period.
