Hello all! I'm a US Citizen married to a Jordanian, currently living in Jordan together, and trying to move back to the US. Initially my husband didn't really think he would apply for immigration(permanent residency), as he already had a job secured in Jordan(assistant prof.of math), but then we had a cute little daughter together, and we decided it would be nice if we could be closer to the grandparents for at least a few more years.

We have decided to apply for the K-3 visa; we haven't been in Jordan quite 1 year, so DCF is not an option for us yet. We are a little bit nervous, simply because the process is so complicated(it seems almost like they don't want you to apply for immigration....). We're going to put our I-130 in the mail in a few days here, so hopefully that will go well. Any tips for the I-130 package, for making it look neat?

Thank you so much, and good luck to everyone here in their petitions as well!

Hey there, welcome to VJ! Instead of K3, would you rather file for the CR1 instead? The K3 is quite dead in the eyes of USCIS, and what they are processing now are the CR1 or IR1 visas.

All the best in your journey!

December 2009 -- Visit to Malaysia.

February 2010 -- Applied for B2 visa, approved.

March 2010 -- Visited US.

April 2010 -- Returned from US.

May 2010 -- Sent in K1 Visa application.

July 2010 -- Received NOA2 in 71 days from NOA1.

July 2010 -- Packet 3 received.

August 2010 -- Cancellation of K1 Visa application.
