Help with time that can be spend in US?

I am a canadian and I went and seen my gf in Florida for 6 months from march to august. I am wondering do I need to wait a certain time before I can go back or could I go at the start of the coming new year for another 6 months? Thank you

From what I understand, Canadians are allowed 6 months in, 6 months out total per year. I think it may be up to the CBP you get, but I would think you would risk being denied at the border if you try again.

I am not 100%, but I think they would count the year from March.

I think Would look at it from the first time you entered, but I am no expert on this.

There is no set period of time Canadians must wait until they re-enter the US, but if it appears that they are spending more time in the US than out then there will be problems at the next POE. Link

I beg to differ...It depends on your CO you get, but if you've already been there for 6 months, you may have a problem. ask me how I know.

As krikit stated their is no real set time! Yes it is 6 months, but you "can" come back to the Canada, then head back into the USA! Chances of that happening?? probably slim, but it is all up to the POE officer! As well, once your outside Canada for too long, you may no longer be covefred by Cdn health care!!
