... given all that 'bad-mouthing/bashing' of the uscis.gov website and it's dsy-function,... For those of you who have received the NOA2 over the past few months, (and, perhaps looking ahead... to those who will receive in the next few months) {hopefully, including me!} [and dan].....

Here's the Survey Question:

Did you first receive your NOA2, by

1) text

2) email

3) snailmail

4) other? I can't think of 'other', but it's early and maybe I'm leaving something out.

07/27/2011...........NOA1 received.

12/05/2011...........RFE received.

12/13/2011...........RFE response sent.

12/16/2011...........RFE RESPONSE received by Vermont S.C.

12/22/2011...........Teased by a text-message from uscis, saying they have received my response to the RFE.

12/30/2011...........LA VISA APROVADOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

01/12/2012...........Case Sent To Bogota Colombia, from the National Visa Center.

02/09/2012...........Schedule Interview.

03/23/2012...........Interview (to take place then)!

04/07/2012...........Arrived in USA.

07/01/2012...........MARRIED!

What next?

.......How the days DO slip away!

I saw it first when I checked my e-mail, then I got the hardcopy three days later. I didn't register for text messaging though. Hope you'll get yours soon! Good luck. :)

For K-1, I checked the site and the dot moved. I then received texts and emails, then he got the hardcopy.

Currently.... they have issued Ice the incorrect GC and we have tried 4 times to fix it. First time they had us send it to the incorrect address. Second time they said we used an expired form, which was the form they gave us. Third time was "oh sorry we lost the last page, can you send it again?." Fourth time is the gov is shut down. Will this ever be corrected in time for Ice to get the permanent GC? Stay tuned to find out. T_T

we had a rfe..and it stated was transfered to vermont..

when i check the site it says will be notified in 60 days via writing?? so does that mean it wont change on the site ever??

The status on the website should change to Approved (or heaven forbid, Denied) once USCIS takes a look at your RFE response and makes a judgement on your case.

Checked the website and saw the update. As I was calling my husband to tell him, my phone vibrated with the e mail notification and once I was on the phone with him, he got the text message all within about 5 minutes of each other! :)

USCIS Journey- 88 days

April 11th, 2011- Mailed I-130 petition

April 14th, 2011- NOA1 text message(Hardcopy 04/19/11)

July 11th, 2011- NOA2 text message and email

NVC Journey- 27 days once Case # received

August 1st, 2011- NVC received file

August 25th, 2011- Received case number, IIN, and Beneficiary ID number from operator, Gave email addresses, Sent in optin email, Submitted DS-261

August 25th, 2011- Optin Acceptance Email received

August 25th, 2011- AOS bill invoiced and paid

September 2nd, 2011- AOS bill appears as PAID, Emailed I-864 package

September 2nd, 2011- IV bill invoiced and paid

September 13th, 2011- IV bill appears as PAID, Submitted DS-260 and emailed DS-260 supporting documents

September 13th, 2011- Received a bogus RFE that was false but resubmitted requested documents that were already there anyways

September 21st, 2011- Case Complete!

November 2nd, 2011- Medical in Vancouver

November 7th, 2011- INTERVIEW in Montreal!!! APPROVED!!! :)

November 24th, 2011- POE- Undecided yet! :)
