I see all these posts about studying for the interview....although I am still in the process of waiting for the NOA2, I was just wondering what specifically she will expect at this interview and what sort of things she needs to study that everyone is studying for

Thanks in advance

I guess people 'study' about their SO interests and general information....A bit weird IMO, I think that if you r with someone is because u know him/her enough and there's nothing you should have to study for....

Interviews in Manila usually last ten minutes or less. The presceener and the consular officer ask routine questions about both of you.

You can read about Chinook's interview experience if you click on the link in our signature. You can also google Manila interview experiences on this site. Or, you can click on Embassy reviews above and go to the U.S. Embassy Manila reviews.

Agreed questions are very basic, things you wold know when in a relationship. If you have your documents you should be fine, dont go crazy with wondering about questions, you will be surprised how little they ask, and surprised by how little they even ask to see the paper work. Ofcourse you need to have it all anyway

good luck

Yes agree all questions are general, that you should know. You should know his mom and dad, his place of work and job. Why are you so worried, this might be of some concern. Your nerves might raise some questions.

Like studying for a urine test

You have no idea what questions they will ask (if any) But if they do, they will be regarding your relationship which she should easily know the answers to. "where did you meet?" "How many times has he visited you?" etc.

I have heard of one lady who was asked, "Why do you want to marry him?" That is a tough question to answer if you haven't given it much thought. Should she answer with general things like he's very trustworthy and has very kind heart and will make a great husband/father? Or, should she recant specific things he has said and done that made her certain he's the one she wanted to marry? So, giving some thought as to how you might want to answer questions isn't a bad idea.

How do you "study" for that? Answer with the truth. Ask me why I wanted to marry Alla and I will tell you as quick as a wink. Ask her why she wanted to marry me and she may have answered differently. So what? They are not interviewing him in any case.

They are going to ask personal questions related to their relationship. If they have a legitimate relationship it will not be a problem to answer. No one here can guess the questions and no one here can them what their answers should be.

Maybe she should say because I love him. Keep it simple, sometimes if you try and give a complicated answer it will cause complications.

Based from the feedback of most Filipino beneficiaries here, questions are very basic and do not even last around 5-10mins but just click here for the possible questions.

Lucky PI !!

Try going through the interview process in HCMC. No cakewalk there.

I believe you missed my point entirely. Oh well, it doesn't matter anyway.

Studing... not really, just learn from talking about family. Sometimes Amy asks a few questions about my family, I guess she is doing some study with those questions.
