really confused about addresses

Hello! I am new to posting here....been browsing info for months and am finally sitting down to actually begin this process. My biggest question in all of it has been that I currently live in the same country as my fiance and not in the US. So I have checked around on the internet and with an immigration lawyer to make sure that I can file for the K1 visa while living outside of the US.....I plan on moving back in 6 or 8 months, when we at least have the process well underway (hopefully when we have the visa in hand!!!), but need to be here for the moment. I am sure that this makes things a bit more complicated but my fiance would never complete the things on his side if I left! He's just too darn shy to go around collecting the info and asking for what he needs, plus sending him the money for it all would be complicated. So......here is my current question: what address do I list for myself? Will the USCIS send me the NAO letters to a foreign post office box??? My permanent residence in the US is my parents' house, so I can list that but I am confused about what I need to list where.....I have read that they send a letter to the beneficiary to tell them to go and pick up the packet of info---but the only way to receive mail of any sort here is to have a post office box. So for him to receive notices, we will need to get one. So I am wondering if I need to also list that as my address so that I receive info or if I need to use my US address and have someone call me and tell me what arrives?!

i am in the same situation! i live in haiti (where my fiance lives) where this is little to no chance of ever getting mail. on my I-129f, i listed my mom's address (which is my permanent address). that is where i have to receive my NOA1 and 2. but on the G-325a Biographical Info form, i listed my address in Haiti as one of my previous addresses. i also wrote about it in my letter of intent.

i don't know if that is the right thing to do...i am sure one of the experts on this site will let you know...and i pray that what i did was correct! i wish i had found this site before sending my I-129f!!!!

Hi! Yes, mail sometimes arrives here--once in 10 days--and sometimes doesn't--once I get a letter 5 months later...so it is really confusing! I was thinking of doing basically what you did. I wasn't sure where to write about and explain it. The letter of intent might be a good place, otherwise i was considering the cover sheet since I have read about others using that space to list random important things!

I sure hope an "expert" will reply! I am glad that I found this site when I did...it has answered some questions already! Good luck and lots of patience in your wait!
