OK people I've made my way through this process with my husband (he was the foreignor) and found such great help and advice on here. Now I have a friend going through this process and wonder if she is just getting screwed.

The process initially was started earlier this year supposedly March or before, the only paperwork she received was the Choice of Agent form to fill out (July 18th 2011). She is from Morocco and so is her husband (also Moroccan but now a US Citizen)-so she made him the agent of course so he would get all the forms. She has heard nothing since then about the paperwork, and he just gives her the reply "oh the paperwork is going fine". And now he is acting super shady about everything and treating her like ####### with his family getting involved and making things worse.

So I wondered if maybe he hasn't continued the paperwork or just cancelled the application completely. I got online today with her NVC number and the USCIS site says that it is not found. It should pull up if the application is still current right?

Ok so with that little information please let me know what you all think. If you need more useful info let me know.

Just Bob-would love your input here, always appreciate your honest opinions.

I should atleast include that they filed a CR1 petition. Sorry if Im lacking details, just upset. Again if more is needed ask away-just want to get to the bottom of this. If I called the USCIS and questioned what was going on with the petition do you think they would give me info or it has to be one of them?

It has to be one of them. The case should show up online if it exists.

Ok, are you trying to put in the NVC case number or the USCIS receipt number? The only number that works on the USCIS site is the receipt number that starts with WAC,EAC,TSC etc on the notice of action letter also known as NOA2. IF he withdrew the petition, it will say Post Decision, per your request we have withdrawn your approval as of such and such date. (The receipt number for My K-1 petition I withdrew has this when I pull it up on the site.)

Your friend should call the NVC with her case number, and ask about the case, they will give her all the information they have.
