So we're going for our interview next week... From reading on the courier services website they mail her passport back to her right?

What does she use for ID?! (If they do in fact take her passport from her.)

All she has for ID is her passport.

  • Will she be able to fly back home without any id?
  • How do we pick up the packet that's sent via DHL. They require a waybill and official id... but the ID is IN the packet!?

And before you suggest... no she doesn't have a license or ID card. The only photo ID she has is her passport.

She can ask that she be able to send in her passport after returning home. That would just delay things a few more days.

Can she simply go apply for and receive a provincial ID?

Found this on the Air Canada website:

Flights within Canada

At the boarding gate, a passenger must present:

Two (2) pieces of government issued non-photo identification with matching names as long as at least one piece also includes the date of birth and gender; or

One (1) piece of government issued identification with photo showing the name, date of birth and gender.

Hopefully she can get a provincial ID card in time or has 2 other pieces of ID or you may have to postpone the interview until after she obtains a provincial ID card.
