Hi! My boyfriend was denied entry a year ago after having booked a ticket for his tourist visa for a day beyond the 90 day allowance. He was then detained and questioned about his previous visits and the customs agent went through his emails on his laptop and found an email that he thought implied intent to work on tourist visa. My boyfriend was denied entry and banned from using a tourist visa to reenter. My boyfriend wants to attempt to come back using a tourist visa, what are the chances of denied entry? And what effect would this have on future K3 application? (I'm going to his country to get married) Thank you!

I would say his chances of being denied entry are 100%. He has been flagged. Trying to enter again shows a COMPLETE disregard for the rules.

Effect on K3 would be minimal seeing K3 doesn't really exist anymore. You mean CR-1. The denied tourist visa would not affect the CR-1 as he was denied for intent to work illegally and the CR-1 permits working.

Thank you for your responses! After being apart from each other and doing the longdistance thing for 2 years, we're desperate to be together and worried about all the immigration hoops we have to jump through! Thanks!
