My Dad just became a Citizen, Now what else does he have to do? Does he need to go to the social security department to let them know? I am a bit confused..... It has been a VERY long time since I naturalized so I dont even remember what I did after. Thanks everyone!

Yes, he has to update his SS status and register to vote. Depending on the state you're in, he might have to also remove restrictions from his driver's license.

Here is what I did right after naturalization:

1. Applied for passport

2. After receiving passport, went to the Social Security Administration (SSA) with my passport to update my info

3. Registered to vote
