VJ is the BEST resource iv come across online for visa seekers...iv been here secretly reading several posts..while going thru my visa petition...and ill say my case has been wonderful from USCIS to NVC and now dat i have a date for december...i know fully well dat ill be APPROVED in Jesus name.

I see approved persons here boast of there preparedness and denied persons crying foul....for me ill be so glad to sit with over 50 consular officers proving my case face to face even if it will span a 6hrs interview.

My take here is GOD backs a genuine marriage thru anything...for those of u who worry bout not having all the documents on earth....i say u have ur GOD and ur mouth be ready to sit any CO down for hrs and tell them bout ur relationship as it is without mincing ur words....GOD bless us all genuine immigrants

My husband spends hours each day in prayer and our relationship is 100% real but that didn't stop the evil of Lagos from trying to deny us. Beware of being over confident Pride goes before a fall.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Amen for that!God sees the intents of our heart and God knows how to grant the prayers of two people who genuinely love each other. In my case Though there are some issues that might raise a red flag (past relationship of my husband) I still believe God will make a way !

well its not bout being over confident or being to proud...as long as u have a genuine marriage...just go ahead and prove it...CO's hv delegated rights by USCIS and they dont hv the right to deny visas...delay isnt denials and our lifes arent dependent on visas.

do ur job and let them do theirs...i believe a genuine alien spouse has the same rights as any CO's.

My stand is be hopeful for the best cos from several comments and posts here u cant never have enuff documents in the eyes of a CO dat wants to deny u.if not for fraud sakes intervews are just a supposed visa collection points

there are several red flags...age difference...correnspondence emails..marriage photos and pre or post marriage pix...wedding video..proof of communication with both relatives..cultural and ethnic racial bkground....i believe if a genuine union has close to 60-80% proof of most of these...its only a wicked or shud i say racial CO dat will want to delay u....as i await my interview im SURE of an approval at first visit...ask me why lol....my wife is US citizen,we are born the same month and we are of same age bracket..and my motherinlaw and i are name sakes on a rare name...lol right from the day we met ppl hv marvelled at our union dat its GOD's handiwork...irrespective of dat we overmeet the poverty guideline and others at USCIS/NVC stages...im not just confident..im thankful to GOD and internet resources like VJ...we shud be hopeful..confident...and prayerful...ill post my APPROVAL in a couple weeks

Once again , Nigeria is an evil consulate. There are many real couples that have had to go through 2 petitions , not because they weren't prepared but because of the level of evil in Nigeria. Our first petition was denied because the CO demanded that Joseph tell details of my classified work if he wanted a visa. There was NO way he could have fullfilled that demand. However the next time around we defeated the evil that is Lagos. Boosting that all true couples will be successfull the first time shows that you have not truely understood Lagos and it's CO's. I have seen more fraudulent couple pass the first interview than those that get tripped up by it. Only true evil would ask someone if there parent died because you marry outside your race. Beware as you pass into the gates.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

I very rarely get on VJ these days or even post, but I feel compelled to say something. I pray for a first time approval for you, because being denied or having a lengthy AP is something that I wouldn't want anyone to go through. Many real relationships where both parties are Christians and have prayed, fasted, etc. have ended up in denial or AP. Sometimes it is not the right time because there are still lessons to be learned. I remember one poster was boasting about the genuiness of their relationship, their faith and knowing that they were going to get approved, sadly enough they got denied. They were not even placed on AP. I learned a life lesson about patience and that it is all in the Masters hand and in his timing (i.e my thoughts are not His thoughts, my ways are not His ways). May you get your approval the first time around and share your experience with everyone.

I agree with you!!! We didnt expect to get approved right away since Pakistan has a well known AP program :P but at the same time we have used this time to prepare my husband for his coming... ive been networking places he can put in applications, talking with ppl so that they are aware he's coming and now after all these months the very ppl ive been talking to are soooo ready to have a welcome home party in his honor... i couldnt be more blessed with the amount of support from these ppl and i feel God needed us to have that as it is difficult enough to come from another country but to be from pakistan and muslim coming to usa is just an extra struggle... and out of these ppl roughly about 75 ppl... not one of them is condemning of us/him only supportive and full of love and encouragement.

Immedaitely after Josephs denial his father passed and he was needed as the eldest son to manage the funeral of the igwe. For those familiar with such events you all know that he would not have been able to do that from the US. So yes there was a "reason" behind it.

During my years on VJ I have seen the scammers are the most self assured at getting a visa the first time because they see themselves as untouchable and smarter than everyone.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

I know this is probably an unpopular point of view, and I am not saying this to be confrontational, but I am an atheist, so gods have no roll in my life.

I am happy for people who choose to put their faith into something that they feel can guide and protect them, but I don't do that.

I guess I just wanted to share a different position, because my marriage is as genuine as the next, and my life is as happy and full as the next as well. I do not have any insight into the machinations of the universe or why a particular embassy or border patrol agent may do what they will despite having all the paperwork and evidence needed to process a visa.

Honestly, all of this stuff about proving "bona fide" relationships is ridiculous, because no one will ever know what a relationship is like between two people. Yes, we share a house, but we may inhabit two bedrooms for all they know. I could submit a tape of us having marital relations and it still wouldn't "prove" anything.

I have done the necessary footwork to bring my husband here, yet I still am not banking on anything. I'll be happy just to have a final answer. If he's denied, we'll live in Canada. If he's approved, he's coming home. No big deal either way to me, as my goal is just to settle down with my husband, where that might be is incidental.
