Many July 2011 petitioners have gotten NOA2's now and that makes me feel much better about my petition going to VSC.

I am truly happy for July petitioners who've got approved, but I just don't understand the mysterious ways of VSC. We filed in mid May, and when I called USCIS they tell us not to expect approval for another 2 months, that they are only now approving those sent on March 15! Our petition was orderly, pristine and no RFEs. This is so taxing on our nerves....

Jon and Yulia, waiting patiently

I do not doubt that is their "official" answer, but look how many July petitions have already been approved on this site alone so you know their "official" answer is bogus. I am unable to check my status online (website says your application cannot be found at this time) and, as a result, it makes me slightly uneasy about my application collecting dust somewhere on some empty desk.

My finance just send her packet 3.5 to embassy. Should be getting interview by end of next week..

I have been very impressed w/ the VSC > NVC > Embassy processing of the application..

There is no one standard for dates and processing time. There are ALOT of variables

1. Where is your fiancee located?

2. Application Completeness?

3. Past history w/ country where financee is located?

4. Security checking

Good luck to all..

there is really no rhyme or reason to the timlimes on gov web site, the system of updating hasnt work since it was put in place. the average wait time is 5 months, some sooner some later. My suggestion is to plan on that, if earlier great, if not start calling. What you see on igors list while helpful at times is only a fraction of the applications they are processing. While the wait for the noa2 is horrible I admit, get all you docs in order for the next step, because the process can really fly if you plan it correctly.

Good luck to all those still waiting.

Yep. Those listed on Igor's list represent a fraction of the total July 2011 petitions which have been approved. So, there are many more approved July 2011 petitions than what you can find on Igor's list. Perhaps what you were driving at is that just because some July petitioners have been approved in early November, it doesn't mean they all will be and with that I completely agree.

On a pessimistic note, NOA2 does not mean the end of waiting........just means half way done. :( Embassy keeps telling me 8-10 weeks from sending packet 3 which was more than a month ago.................. :crying:

Currently.... they have issued Ice the incorrect GC and we have tried 4 times to fix it. First time they had us send it to the incorrect address. Second time they said we used an expired form, which was the form they gave us. Third time was "oh sorry we lost the last page, can you send it again?." Fourth time is the gov is shut down. Will this ever be corrected in time for Ice to get the permanent GC? Stay tuned to find out. T_T

I worked for the Fed Gov

i won't say where but each of us who worked there received a number of assignments to work (not always random)

Some of us worked fast

And some not so fast

The advantage of working fast was that you got more assignments to work! he he he

Me, I liked to be busy made the day go by quickly

Others were not so eager for the day to pass? he he

Not saying it is the same there at VSC but.....

I agree. I am a sub contractor for the federal government and things that they should have an answer to me in 48 hours sometimes will take them 2 weeks to get me an answer. Sometimes I still have to ask for a response after a month. I do agree that some people there work harder and faster because their goal is to get the work done, compared to others who scrutinize more and their goal is to make sure that every i is dotted and every t is crossed.
