Hi guys and girls,

Well, we have our interview date but I'm worried about one thing; we've been together for a year and a half and visited each other a few times; we've gone to many places together but since we were alone, we really didn't take that many pictures. We didn't have a wedding party (only a couple of pictures of the marriage at the town office) which his dad took, a couple of pictures of our trip to New Hampshire, a picture with me and his his step mom and me opening presents on Christmas last year, pictures of our cat and us together with our cat, a picture we took with his phone on our whale watch trip to Boston and a couple of pictures at our house in Jordan when he visited me..I'm sure we will be visiting family for thanksgiving this year and will take pictures then too..all these are like 12 pictures right now. We took a hiking trip and he took a picture of me and me of him at the top of the mountain but we didn't take a picture together :bonk: Other proof of marriage we have is our joint bank account, we don't have lease and neither of us have insurance yet. I have a few gifts I bought him like the gift certificate to our trip to whale watching. I don't know if facebook pictures and comments on walls will be considered proof? I'm not sure what to do?

Any help or suggestions would be great. :help:

If you have facebook pictures, print them out! We didn't take a ton of pictures ourselves but had a lot other people had taken on facebook, so we just got them printed out. Quality wasn't awesome but they did their job!

Unfortunately we don't have many pictures on facebook, I'm talking about posts on walls or comments, facebook messages? I took the pictures we have on facebook and printed them out but I feel it's not enough. Should I print out some emails we exchanged?

I'd take them just in case. IMO better to have too much than too little, the IO doesn't have to look at anything they don't want to.

Our IO did not seem to care how many pictures we had as much as she was concerned with us having pictures that spanned our whole relationship.

:help:

If you had a 12 pictures all taken in roughly the same place over the course of only a few days then I'd certainly be concerned. But look what you posted:

1. A few pictures of your civil wedding.

2. A trip to New Hampshire.

3. Opening Christmas presents with his step-mom.

4. Pictures whale watching in Boston.

5. Pictures at your house in Jordan.

6. Pictures on top of a mountain.

It's not many pictures, but what you do have demonstrates that you two do stuff together, and that you do stuff not just at the local shopping mall but all over the place.

I wouldn't worry. I think you'll be ok. If you want a bazillion pictures documenting every possible aspect of every day of your life then marry an Asian.

LOL you're funny :) Yes I have around 2 pics of civil wedding, 3 of NH trip, few of Christmas, one of whale watching (we just took that with our phone) and oh yeah we also have a picture with a group of friends we got together with in Connecticut last year (they're the group that play the game that we met through).

I'm trying not to worry, I'm just a worry bug, thanks so much for your input.

Jim is right on. You are showing that you were together doing many things "family style". The overall quantity is not important. We took maybe 8-10 photos with us. My wife with my dog, cooking supper, a trip to Washington, with some friends on New Years Eve, a party in a restaurant, things a wife and husband do. And nothing prior to our marriage. I think you are just fine with what you have.

  • 2 weeks later...

We had maybe 16 or 17 pics and our IO literally barely glanced at them. Her eyes went down and back up

(once) and that was it. We could have had blank pieces of paper there and she never would have know. You should be just fine with what you have. :)
