Hello,

My fiance had his interview on September 6,2011 and the interviewer said he passed his interview but his DS-156 had a issue so he should submit it again and while he does that they will keep his passport and put his case on AP. Its been almost 2 months and havent heard from them. I emailed them and no reply and my fiance called but they said they can't say anything to him.

My question is has this happen to anyone here?? If so, how lond did it take for you to get your passport back with your visa stamped with it?

Thanks!!1

since you are not getting any updates from the Embassy they don't normally reply to emails when you call embassy all you hear call after 15 mins lines are busy so don't waste time calling them call DOS they will be able to tell you the status if you are in AP or what i need to ask you did the consular said your fiance is in AP or not thanks

I agree with Mohsin about calling DOS to get your update. US embassy in Pakistan is very hard to get hold of. My husband has been in AP for almost 4 months now and there are many other Muslim males in AP. Unfortunately it's become a usual part of immigration process to put Muslim males in AP and there is no way to tell when it'll be over. Best of luck to you!!!

Once I call the DOS will they tell me when my fiance will get a passport back with his visa stamped with it?

No they won't they can only tell you if it's still pending the AP processing... they won't know until they issue the visa that it's been issued.

If they tell me if its still on AP, can they tell me how long will it be to get out of AP?

More like males...not just Muslims.

Maybe I'm just angry with the immigration services but it appears that ratio of Muslim males in AP is much higher than non-Muslims. It appears as if American Immigration services consider all Muslim men to be terrorists until proven otherwise. I have a strong feeling that if my husband wasnt Muslim, I wouldnt have had to wait as long.
