So my fiance got his checklist in the mail stating what forms he needs to have ready, but not where they are sent or taken. He's filled them all out, but what does he need to sent back to the London embassy and what does he need to keep in hand for his interview? Also, regarding the things I need to send him such as the financial support, does he bring that to the interview or does he send that in with the DS-156k?

They need to start wording their papers more clearly because we thought we had it all figured out and there's clearly a ton of confusion. :/

Remember that these forms are the same for everyone worldwide, so cannot be embassy specific. For that you need to go to the embassy website. as linked in one of the replies.

If you have been a member of this fantastic website for long you would have known that your fiance did not need to wait for the packet 3 letter to be delivered by snail mail, but instead could have sent the forms out in the mail as soon as DOS told you to do so, but that's neither here nor there now.

my thoughts to you both, is to call DOS every 5 days or so after he has sent in the packet 3 forms. Why? Because that way you will know when his packet 3 forms have been logged into the London system and what date your interview will be scheduled. There have been occasions when the interview letter has never arrived, so calling DOS every so often is a good back up plan.

Good luck

Thank you everyone so much for your help. That cleared up a lot of confusion.

He's sending the forms out tomorrow, so hopefully we might be together for Christmas if things go smoothly. :)
