Hello VJ Members,

I just want to ask something that makes me worry,my annulment is almost done in a matter of 2 or less than 3 months...my worry is that, i have different birth year and birth place on my marriage contract, from my birth certificate,I am late registered but I have supporting documents that I am the same person, on my marriage contract my birth year and birth place was erroneously written..I told my attorney about this and she told me i don't need to worry because my marriage will be null and void by then...but still this things worry me, I am thinking of correcting this before the annulment is granted, I just want everything goes well on my interview if ever, I don't want the Consul to think I am not the same person and will delay everything...your response is highly appreciated...

I would get it fixed just in case, contact the jurisdiction where you got married, submit the proof. but you do have an attorney.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

Hi there! To give you peace of mind, I suggest you start fixing the error while you still have time. I knew there were applicants with similar issue put in AR after the interview. I wasn't able to check if they got their visas now. So while you have more time, gather all necessary documents to prove your identity. One of the reasons visa is denied because the applicant failed to prove his / her identity. Start working on it ! God bless you :)

And, I also suggest that you submit your baptismal certificate since this document also states your true complete name and birth records. This helped me a lot too. I didn't have problem during my interview. I didn't wait for the Filipino screener to require me on this since I knew I got correction on my birth name only in 2008. I have read in some posts here that there were visa applicants with corrections on their BC put in AR pending submission of baptismal certificate.

No need to do that. you will be correcting a date on a marriage that never happened. It is anulled remember? we had almost same problem, different date on BC and MC. You need final decree and anotated marriage cert showing it is anulled. The incorrect date doesn't matter.
