Hello everybody

how was the 1st day of Ramadan in USA?? what did you prepare for iftar?? ;)

Here, in Morocco, the first day is today

wish you all a Ramadan Kareem and have a nice sunday

9/30/09: got an email from USCIS. Production of the card has been ordered.

10/07/09: Got 10 years GC in mail

Yesterday was our first day of fasting. It was a good day. Had a big pot of Chorba cooked, some turkey cutlets, rice and french bread. mmmmmmmm.

Ramadan Mubarak! Have a good day.

First day of fasting in the rahma/Tamer household :D inshaAllah we're going to the masjid for iftar today :dance: Auntie food is da bomb (for any FBI agents reading, not literally, it's just really really good)

02/23/08 - Filed for removal of conditions.

Sometime in 2008 - Received 10 year GC. Almost done with USCIS for life inshaAllah! Huzzah!

12/07/08 - Adopted the fuzzy feline love of my life, my Squeaky baby th_catcrazy.gif

02/23/09 - Apply for citizenship

06/15/09 - Citizenship interview

07/15/09 - Citizenship ceremony. Alhamdulilah, the US now has another american muslim!

:huh: My husband told me that Morocco began Ramadan yesterday with Saudi Arabia. Oh well!

It's only 10:20 and I am hungry! I ate a sandwich and drank a bottle of water at 5! :blush: I was cutting it close! Well today we are staying in the house for most of the day except we are invited to our friend Amina's for break fast. I can't wait to have some good home cooked Morrocan food, made by a real Moroccan woman! Not that other people can't make it, it just tastes better. Well I have to get going. My husband wants to watch a movie. I hope everyone has a good day!

Well we started fasting yesterday and I had to work 8 hours - (9-5) on my feet. But I think I will have ended up selling 2 wedding dresses and 6 bridesmaids gowns sooo that should give me like $50 in commission! Yay! I was fine yesterday even though we woke up a little late and were literally swallowing food in pieces in order to stuff it in before 5:40(whatever)lol. when I came home from work my hubby was making msemmen and chicken m'hmmar and harira and some other bread lol. I said "what are you jamie oliver now?" he never ever cooks so I was totally in shock! We spent the last few hours before iftar cooking and getting ready and let me tell you I was ready by 7:09! (only 7:07 tonight woohoo!) This morning we woke up right at 5 so that we could eat - I made eggs with tomatoes and hollandaise sauce and english muffins and some fruit. It was nummy. Then we slept in until 1pm!! My son is visiting my grandparents and boy was it nice to sleep in! We are going shopping today to get me some new shoes for work (before my feet break!) And I have an interview next week for a new job as a financial advisor. Inshallah it will go well. I've been praying all the time that it comes through because we really need it! Anyway Happy Ramadan - and happy day of eating to all you non-Muslims out there!

October 13, 2010 - Oath Ceremony
