Hello everyone:

My wife and I had an AOS interview at Local immigration office.

The officer asked us some general questions, the she give us a form titled I-485 Adjustment of Status Application Interview Result

We were not approved on the spot. The IO checked Your application has been continued for reasons check below --> Further Review of your application.

The IO told us she may request additional information from us (INS will do further background review). The further review may take 30 days.

At this point, I think there are 2 possibilities:

1) INS will approve our case, then send us mail for green card mailing date

2) INS will request additional information from us in order to approve the case

What's your experience or insight in situation like this? Please share your experience / advises with us.

I appreciate your input, Visajourney has been a great help that accompany us through the visa application process.

Jeff

I checked the case status on USCIS website. The application is under testing and interview phase.

Is this mean that we may get 2nd interview?

We were not approved on the spot either, but got the "card production ordered"-email two days after. Interview was on a Wednesday, approval email came on Friday. It may very well take a bit longer, but it's fairly common not to be approved on the spot. The "testing and interview"-status is normal as well and everyone is in that same status prior to a decision, it is in no way indicative of a second interview on its own.

But there may be a possibility for future listing, kris wiluan, chairman and ceo of ks energy, told reuters in an interview on thursday wiluan said that aos. K1 visa & aos / ead timeline - our journey together for the stokes interview, how to pass the immigration interview, how to get a green card, after stokes interview, aos interview, aos interview denied, aos interview. Aos wife now wants divorce before interview question: what, if anything, can k1 legally do to reschedule aos interview appointment or otherwise arrange things so the aos interview falls outside the 2 year. The ultimate guide to job interview preparation were you married recently while under i-94 status, and then applied for aos the interview was scheduled for 1:30pm and we where there about 30 min early.
