I filed in Oct and I'm still waiting. Biometrics Dec 14th :(

Have you had a congressman or senator look into it for you? It appears those that do, shortly after get something happening. And those that don't, seem to wait forever.

What was the reply from California on the inquiry? They gave us 30 to 45 days, but the congressional aid said normally he sees action in 4 or 5 days. We got an approval in 6, but the 4th of July was in there to. So I guess he was right on the mark. I do wonder is some congress people have more pull than others, or maybe just act faster and some don't actually do anything at all. Our congresswoman is Michele Bachmann, I know I'd be afraid of getting on her bad side

Would you want this woman mad at you?

WOW! I can't believe it. After waiting 8 and a half months, I finally decided to email my congressman this morning at 8:45am asking to look into green card delay at CSC. At 10:30am we got the email from USCIS saying they have ordered the production of the new card (I485 AOS). I know it's probably just coincidence, but....

Our Visa Journey:

01/12/2011: I-129F Package Sent

01/20/2011: Received e-notification

Congrats, doubt the congressman got it to happen so fast either. You mailed the same day as my wife, who got her's earlier this month with congressional help. Maybe we only saved 2 or 3 weeks.

My middle name and last name were the same :-p Everything on my card was right. USCIS keyed in my name wrong in their system. They said they already fixed it when we went to their office in Memphis.. Now, I'm still waiting for some news from Social Security.

Gosh, looks like we still have November filers waiting.

It's been awfully quiet in this thread lately. Any progress?
