Our application was received October 31st, 2011 and we are still waiting!!!! Over 7 months! I was so happy when I found out it was being transfered to CSC. I hope we hear something soon.

Same here. I filed my mother's paperwork and it was received by them on 10/27/2011 and we're still waiting.

She did her biometrics on Dec 11th, 2011. We got the work permit in mid Feb, but nothing on the green cards as of yet.

I did call the national service center a couple of weeks ago to open an inquiry with the California service center. They only responded that our app was going to get processed as soon as possible (which is their generic template response).

I am now on hold again with their Tier 2 to see what's actually going on with our case. The previous rep I spoke to said the application hadn't been touched since Jan 24, 2012.

I seems that any case that reaches California is doomed to incredible delays, these people really need to get their act together.

Still no news from USCIS. We called them twice already and we are about a few days over the 180 days after being transferred mark crying.gif We get the same answer every time. 'Just wait and we will contact you" ####### reply. headbonk.gif

I did my biometrics and received my work authorization and advance parole by Jan 1st, 2012. If they don't hurry up I'll have to apply for those again! haha

Do you need to reapply for those if they fail to process the green card in time? I noticed in another thread someone is getting dangerously close to having theirs expire waiting on CSC.

Our field office is DC. Our case was transferred to CA for quicker processing (We don't know why it's called quicker processing when it's taking longer than 180 days) . When we called NBC, we were told that our case was within normal processing time therefore we could not get a service request. We had to speak to a supervisor to find out what was normal processing time. We were told that our field office was procesing cases for August. We asked what our field office has to do with the processing since the case was sent to CA and were told that the case goes to CA for part of the processing and then is transferred to DC for the final processing. The supervisor transferred the call to someone else who said that we should call back in 3 months because the case was in normal processing time. From looking at the timeline for DC processing, it appears cases were being processed within 180 days up until about sometime in August '11. The question is what happened around that time to have them slow down to almost a hault? At this point, it's looking like it's taking DC longer than 7 months to make a decision. The only hope seems to be getting an interview appointment (at least from the look of it) you'll get a decision, for the most part, right away. Conclusion, the whole immigration process, is about waiting, waiting, waiting, and more waiting . Meanwhile, life goes on with uncertainty because one doesn't know if he/she will be allowed to stay or have to go back to his/her country smh

We haven't seen a response at all yet. Next Wednesday is the 15 days they told us to wait for one. If the case is being adjudicated in California, why is the service request with your local office? And why are some people getting their cards out of California in barely 4 months, while so many others are still waiting at 6,7 and even 8 months? Thats what's driving me crazy. You don't know if you'll get an RFE, or sent back to the local for an interview, or worst of all if they loose your case file. I just want out of the waiting on USCIS approval nightmare for a while. Its been 15 months of waiting on some part of the process for us at this point. I guess at least we're together, but really you can't say for 100% certainty that they will let you stay together. 15 months of that little worry that something could go wrong in the back of your head, and we just want it to go away. At this point its been decided between my wife and I, that if we haven't a good response by next Wednesday, we're appealing to a Senator and Congressman to speak on our behalf to them. They are currently claiming the local is running at 4 months, the national average is also claimed to be 4 months, they are the once who told us they were speeding the process up by sending it to CSC, so they should live by their claims and not going 50% over their own claimed time frames.

Agreed "loud applause"

I believe you do! I remember reading something about it on the page that came with my work authorization/advance parole card. I have no idea if you have to pay again though. Anybody else know how that works? I'm going to have to find out.

No, don't know about this. :wow: This is becoming more of a nightmarish process as time goes on.

Tried to put in another service request. its been 30 days since we put in our last one. I guess waiting two weeks to send a copy and paste form letter sets the 30 days until you can file a new one from that date. Good way to get you to go away for 45 days. The clueless level 2 CS woman tried to tell me the local office processing at 4 months is after the all AOS's are sent to California. Are they really so poorly informed or do they just like lying? I'm so starting to hate the USCIS. It gets hard not to just call the CS complete idiots or blatant liars when I'm talking with them. But I just remember to stay polite, even if I'd love to rant at them. Going to get our Senator involved today. The paperwork is already to fax in today. I was going to send to our congresswoman, but the link to her form was broken, so I guess I need to call her office today to get one.

We just got an update yesterday - card is in production. No interview for my mother.

She received the card yesterday - 6 months and 25 days after filing. Not too bad.

Good luck to those that are still waiting and don't hesitate to call USCIS if you believe you're outside the processing frame

30 days until you can put in another service request? I put in my second one the day I got that bs reply to the first one, about 20 days after the first one.
