Could someone who has (preferably recently) gone through the Sydney consulate tell me about how many passport photos I will need to send to my fiance in Australia for the K-1 process? I want to get them all at once to save time. Or do I only need to send one? I know he's going to need multiple for himself, but I'm not sure how many he will require from me...

K-1 Timeline:

12-09-2011 --- I-129F Sent

12-15-2011 --- NOA1 ------------------------------ 6 days

06-01-2012 --- NOA2 --------------------------- 169 days

06-29-2012 --- NVC Received ----------------- 28 days

07-06-2012 --- NVC Left --------------------------- 7 days

07-09-2012 --- Consulate Received ----------- 3 days

07-11-2012 --- Packet 3 Received ------------- 2 days

07-23-2012 --- Packet 3 Sent ------------------ 12 days

07-31-2012 --- Packet 4 Received ------------- 8 days

08-07-2012 --- Interview Date ------------------- 7 days from P4 - Approved!

08-09-2012 --- Visa in Hand -------------------- 2 days

08-29-2012 --- POE (LAX)

** Total Time From NOA1 to Visa In Hand: 7 Months, 3 Weeks, 4 Days - (236 days)

If you are the petitioner there is no photos needed from you. Only the person applying for Visa.

He does not need any from you for the interview. He just has to supply for himself to go on his visa.

Ok, great. Thanks! I also just realized I spelled passport with one "s" in the title of this thread, lol. Definitely going to be triple checking my forms and things for mistakes.

the only passport photo you will need is the one you provide when you file the I-129F. he will need to send you one for the I-129F also, then he will need one for his medical, two or three for the interview, and possibly one for his police certificate

AOS approved 3/29/13 after almost 10 months of waiting. No RFE's and no interview.

For my medical in Melbourne i needed three photos ( the medical office will tell you when call to make an appointment). For the DS-230 i needed to attach 2 photos. I got some extra done for my interview in case i needed them but i didn't, the beneficiary only needs photos at the interview if the photos on the DS-230 are more than six months old. And as far as i know in Australia no state requires them for the police clearance.

Finally time for AOS.......

12/07/11 Sent AOS package

12/09/11 AOS package delivered

12/14/11 Received NOA for I-485 and I-765 (we're not applying for AP)

12/22/11 Received letter for Biometrics

01/04/12 Biometrics in Phoenix

01/31/12 Received email update from USCIS saying that we've been scheduled for an interview

02/03/12 Got an email saying card production had been ordered for my EAD...now just to wait for the card...

02/09/12 Received email saying EAD card has been sent

02/13/12 Received EAD card :D :D :D :D

03/06/12 Interview in Phoenix :).....Approved :D

03/14/12 Received Green card in mail.....

....no more USCIS until December 2013
