Hi! all

First time posting. Wanted to know if there is a process to expedite the name check process. I am applying for my wife. We are in NVC processing. I-130 filed in Aug 1, 2011. Can I call and ask if the name checks were done? or in the process?

Also what documents does she need to bring to her interview whenever that happens? Will they provide a list?

Help will be appreciated.

Thanks a bunch!

If you are in NVC process, why go back to I-130 process - in the absence of your timelines, we don't know your status.

SO you are saying Name check happens during the I-130 process? That was approved for us.

Sent AOS and IV fee paid and application with the civil documents sent on 10/30/11.

Waiting for NVC approval.

Yeah name checks can happen at anytime during the process and I'm sure they do run them but they can't do a fingerprint check until the day of the interview.. all you can do is hope that they do a simple check and not run a full length check.. im thinking thats where we are.. his first name isnt common but his last name might be enough that they are weeding thru the others to be sure he is the one coming... I pray this wont happen to you...

All I know is at the end of july we were told our case was fine and that now that all docs are in and accepted he has to go thru name checks.. im only thinking thats still where we are unless hopefuly we are now at the embassy for finishing.. GOD help us i pray thats where we are..
