Another DS 230 questions!!

Following along with all the DS230 questions... [sorry if this is a stupid question]

Knowing that I need to provide original or certified copies of the marriage certificate and birth certificate, should I really write the case number in the upper right hand corner??? It says that not doing so would cause a delay, but these are the original documents and I'd prefer not to write all over them.

Any suggestions?

Yes it is true that they want you to write the case number on the upper right hand corner of all papers submitted for the DS230. You can just write it in pencil thats what we did and then it can be erased off of your origionals.

I don't know much about the petition you are sending, but for the K-1, AOS, EAD and AP that I petitioned for, I sent in copies. And they weren't certified. You can write anything you want on copies.

Hiya daisy The DS-230 is the actual application for the visa which like the DS-156 needs the originals. Just that with a CR-1 application it goes off to the NVC as opposed to the Embassy.
