Sorry about this! that's awful! nothing to do but move forward in good time. I'm sure this kind of thing happens and it will be ok if you file again in the future. Pretty sure they'll more or less just want an explanation when the time comes.

My ex fiancee did not show up for her interview on september, and did not even explain her reason for not showing up. To the point of not even answering my calls. When i did talk to her, she said she's not ready to get married. And later found out from her cousin that she cheated on me with another guy. I'm devastated right now after all the time, money, and sacrifices i went through for her. What should i do now? I have no intentions of getting back with her, but i'm concerned of a future fiancee visa petition if i do finally find the right woman in my life.. Need help! Advice! Thank you!

First of all, congratulations! Better that it ended this way than if she came and got married and then you needed a divorce. Any other result would have meant MORE money, MORE time and MORE sacrifice.

Do not contact her or anyone that knows her again for any reason. It can only multiply your bad feelings.

You do not need to do anything really, the petition will die of old age 4 months after it was approved.

For any future petitions within 2 years of the approval date of the last one, you simply attach a waiver letter to the I-129f explaining what happened and requesting a waiver of the two year rule. You will get the waiver.

You are going to get over this sooner or later, better to make it sooner. This can help...

yes its ok to file another. might need a waiver. check into it. make and keep copies of everything to show proof if asked for. send a letter of cancelation to the place that has the first petition along with a copy of the noa1.

Sounds like something that just happened to a friend of mine down in Zamboanga. She didn't give any answer, but we figured she was using him for money. Were you supporting her what country were you filing for. I can tell you exactly how to withdraw the petition. By the way they do not automatically cancel even if she never goes to the interview.

IN JUNE OF THIS YEAR

While on Filipinocupid.com I had a scammer take me for $ 150 and I put her story, name and picture on dragonladies.com. I almost forgot I did that and last week a guy contacted me about a girl of the same name. He said he was shocked to find her name on dragonladies.com and he told me he had drained his bank account and sent her over $ 20,000 this year. I told him I was positive the woman was a scammer but he still believes she is not and is planning on meeting her in December. He has only seen her on cam once but talks to her everyday. I am positive it is a scam but I can't convince him because he is in love :bonk:

Spending $20 grand on some one you never met is just plain stupid. On another forum which is for Russian women there are 10 commandments for men looking for a wife in Russia. One of them is ""never never send money to a person you have never met"". Period. This man will most likely never even get as far as meeting this person and is thinking with his little head not his big one. His will be a very hard fall.

I know you are feeling some pain now. But as the others have said, better now than later on.You have learned a very valuable lesson and will be a lot more careful the next time. And I am sure the next time you do this it will be with a wonderful woman and that is all that matters.

I just remembered another VJer's who's fiancee already wants to go back home after arriving in the US for 2 weeks.

So the O.P just need to cancel..ok

Not showing to the interview means that the process is still ongoing then and it just delays stuff. Just a hypothetical question, for how long still he can do that- what if they got back together in a year maybe?

anyone that stupid should probably just give the money away anyway, it is bound to happen, maybe the girl will make better use if it.

Dear OP, I'm sorry this happened, but like many wise VJers have already said (read: Darnell, TBoneTX), chin up! :)

As a former beneficiary, I am glad I didn't go through the K1 process with my now ex-fiance. I would be totally miserable now, and I would also be regretting my decision to be married to him and living away from my family and friends.

December 2009 -- Visit to Malaysia.

February 2010 -- Applied for B2 visa, approved.

March 2010 -- Visited US.

April 2010 -- Returned from US.

May 2010 -- Sent in K1 Visa application.

July 2010 -- Received NOA2 in 71 days from NOA1.

July 2010 -- Packet 3 received.

August 2010 -- Cancellation of K1 Visa application.

as everyone else says: that really sucks but you're better off without the <insert female dog name here> right?!

now what i have difficulty understanding is the future part of your post, there is 2 scenarios i can think off

1) you are an american citizen and tis hearthless sorry excuse for a human being was the foreighner you were petitioning for

2) you live broad and are here on a k1 visa or want to come over on one.

in case 1, just live your life and find someone you click with, love to the extend you want to spend your life with her and then do so. i see no reason for this woman to be not american, chances are far greater she will be.. right? or do you just look abroad for a spouse? in which case i wanna tel you there are a lot of sweet, sexy americans out there

in case 2, why are you set on getting an american wife? i am sure that wherever you are from has plenty sweet, sexy, smart natives out there, just live your life and find someone you click with, love to the extend you want to spend your life with her and then do so. are you from a country that is so bad that you want to get away? if that is the case.. well then you are the person that is one of the reasons this whle bloody process is so hard, just find a woman you love and don't focus on her country of origin.

as you can see, my advise is just to find a woman you love and want to spend the rest of your life with and don't focus on the place where you will do that. live your life and be happy!

I sure have learned my lesson... I thought it was love, but now i felt sooo used.. It was a good thing her cousin was honest enough to let me know what was happening.. Or i would have been in the dark for some time asking myself what happened..
