Post decision activity: when should i expect letter?

Hi ,

About one week ago the online case status changed into the below notice: as of today I have not received any letter;

what the National Visa Center does? they send the letter out? why taking so long?

if i was denied (i ve a small disorderly conduct conviction in my records) shouldnt I already have received a denial?

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

It can take up to 14 days for the letter to arrive. I would wait for 2-3 weeks and if you do not hear back, call the USCIS 1-800 number and ask about it.

Your message does not state that you will receive a letter. Most probably your status will update again online with a message indicating you were mailed a letter...
