Its so hit or miss, we were Sept 7th filers...received NOA2 late Dec....fiance just did her physical yesterday, going back today to pick up results...her interview is the 28th...so again, its just random how they process the papers it seems.

Hi there,

I'm also a September filer. I finally joined the forum after following it for months, because it sucks to feel so alone and isolated in this case!

I believe our application was filed September 21st. However, the immigration officer told me it was October 4th that it was received, or maybe that was when the NOA1 was sent out. Since then, it's literally been hell for us. We are among the many who met online, technically. It was disheartening to say the least that we received a request for more information in January after months of silence. We had only actually met in August, but we also had a visit in September before the filing was done, and then in October directly after. They had requested more proof that we had met in person, and it was so difficult because it was unspecific. We literally sent everything we had, and if that was not enough, we were pretty clueless about what we were going to have to send in.

What I am wondering, is, is it okay to send in more proof that you had met after the filing date in lieu of not having enough proof before? We had a couple more things, and I believe he re-sent in the whole package with all of the proof after the filing date as well. I figured, it couldn't hurt just to send in EVERYTHING we had.

It's been 16 business days since we have sent our response package to the request for more information. We have no idea if it's been received and it is so frustrating. When I called, they wouldn't give me an answer.

To add insult to injury of our situation, we planned for me to visit for his birthady and our anniversary - the first one we would of been able to spend together. I had read the forums so much, reading about people getting denied at the POE on visits. Sadly, it happened to me. I quit my job since he is supporting me (with no difficulty), packed up most of my stuff, and was prepared for my second visit to him. He already has half my stuff there from my last visit, so I am not sure what went wrong this time. The officer told me I had several strikes against me, but he also said he couldn't stop me from trying to visit him again, and that he was just denying me for today. I had brought all my recent mail and tax info, and all the stuff that was in my drawer which included my degree. I didn't even think twice about how bad that would look. I'm not even planning on working when I am there, since I am going to be the homemaker. We didn't have a return ticket, since I wasn't sure if I had to come back earlier for my visa interview if it happened before I wanted to come back - 2 months.

Has anyone else had this happen to them? I realize all my mistakes now, but I'm not sure on if I even have a chance to correct them. This is only my second time travelling by myself. I don't know how to prove I wasn't going there to live - I mean, the only people it is really obvious to is us, who do not want to hurt our visa application and would never jeoprodize it. I explained all of this to the officer... But I am unsure if I am allowed to visit now after all of that. Even if I had a return ticket, 1 luggage, and didn't bring any of the wrong things, apparently they can still deny you. They can deny you no matter what - that is what I have read repeatedly. I am worried that since it is on my record, they will instantly try to reject me. It feels very prejudiced. It's pretty crushing to think I am missing the first birthday and anniversary we could spend together. I'm not sure how else I can establish ties in Canada to prove I will come back? My entire family lives here, but I don't see any point in getting a job just to tell them I am going on vacation to visit my fiancee for two months, and then probably be close to moving there permanently when I come back.

Any advice on similar situations, that would be so great... Thanks.
