Hi all, I'm brand new here. I am a USC married to a Syrian. Filed his i-130. I have a few questions. I see where people have to wait for visa number, but we don't because he is spouse of USC and visa number is immediate? Am I correct? No limits to immediate relatives?

Also, I see a lot of you report "touched". I found a post which told me where to find this. I did not have email or text notifications on. So I just did. Will I be able to see everything that already happened, or will I only be notified of future activity?

9/21/11 - Married in Syria

11/16/11 - Fedex I-130

11/17/11 - Received at USCIS

11/18/11 - Text received from USCIS - papers received - sent to California for processing

11/22/11 - check cleared - Received NOA1 form in mail

5/10/12 - FINALLY submitted DS-260 and emailed all supporting documents
5/15/12 - checklist from NVC - needed different marriage certificate
5/20/12 - emailed other marriage certificate
5/21/12 - email received
5/29/12 - CASE COMPLETE! FINALLY!!!

6/4/12 - Interview Scheduled

7/22/12 - INTERVIEW! APPROVED! NO A/P. KEPT HIS PASSPORT

Hi :) You don't have to wait for visa availability, you are correct. IF you have an account on USCIS website you will be able to see all the updates they make, as far as I know. Good luck! :)

Hey, I am a November filer (don't worry you already welcomed me in the first couple of pages)

I just got my hard copy of my NOA1 in the mail yesterday. (took about 10day in the mail from the time we got the initial email but that is normal for the Canada Post with mail coming from California)

I just checked our status online today and it went from Initial review yesterday to "Post Decision Activity" today!!!! :thumbs: :thumbs:

I assume this is a good thing(No RFE's??) I guess...

So now what.

Is this where we are waiting for packet 1??

So far it has been fast!! :star:

Sorry don't mean to hijack what others already had going in this thread.

Thank you guys. Of course my daughter is my own biological daughter, but unfortunately I dont have five years physically present in the United States prior to the her birth.

This doesn't matter, u need to personal message me because my husband did the baby shortly after he turned a citizen. It can be done. That is just one requirement but u can use other things like pay stubs w2 and all that which is what we did. Don't file do the CRBA trust me.

Guys,

my wife made a request of expedite november 15th, she called USCIS and the same day they emailed her requesting her some documentation. After analysis, we decided to give up on the request, will it cause us any problem of delaying our cases? I see that our case have been touched since november 14th, do you guys think the reason California service center is probably not working on ouf case is because they are waiting for the documents? waiting for you opinions guys!!!!

you expedite it, right? (correct me if I'm wrong). Well, it's really fast, congratulations! You need to prepare all the documents for the next phase, now: the AOS package (I-864) and the IV package. Good luck! :)

I filed in November too! Sent off on 9-Nov, NOA-1 on 21-Nov via email. We just missed out on DCF via our consulate in Australia. So off to Chicago Lockbox it goes... I had to go through a similar process for my fiance visa to Australia and this is A LOT less stressful the second time around. But it's just as obnoxious waiting around for a decision!

5/2/12 - IV bill appeared online - paid!
5/3/12 - IV bill shows paid!
5/10/12 - FINALLY submitted DS-260 and emailed all supporting documents
5/15/12 - checklist from NVC - needed different marriage certificate
5/20/12 - emailed other marriage certificate
5/21/12 - email received
5/29/12 - CASE COMPLETE! FINALLY!!!

6/4/12 - Interview Scheduled

7/22/12 - INTERVIEW! APPROVED! NO A/P. KEPT HIS PASSPORT

7/28/12 - Visa in hand

7/29/12 - POE Philadelphia!

Removing conditions:

5/5/14 - Mailed form I-751

5/6/14 - Packet received at USCIS Vermont - signed for by A.Scoss

5/6/14 - NOA1 receipt date

5/13/14 - Check Cashed

5/13/14 - Received NOA1 in mail

5/19/14 - Received notice of Biometrics

6/11/14 - Biometrics

12/10/14 - Approval Letter Date!
