How is everyone doing? This process is painful huh? Just when CSC seemed to be picking it up, the last few days seems like they have slowed down. Boooo.

I'm guessing they had Easter off..

Do they ''Touch'' everyones case?! We have had nothing at all so far...

Not necessarily. A 'touch' is when someone at the USCIS scans your file for any reason. It could mean they're working on it, or it could mean they're simply moving it from one shelf to another.

You know if you have a touch by logging into your case status on uscis.gov, if the last update part is on a date later than your priority date it means your case has been 'touched.'

Yep, if your priority date was November 16th (my birthday might I add), and the last update on USCIS case status is November 23rd, your petition was 'touched' on November 23rd.

This often happens a few days after the priority date. Most likely, that's when a human scans it and puts it in the storage box it'll call home for 5 - 6 months...

My wife filed the papers but I forget when exactly. She received notification from the USCIS on December 3rd that they had received payment and the forms and such... I don't know if this question is important or not but; should I post in the November filers thread or the December filers thread?

My priority date is November 7th. Received my NOA2 on April 20, 2012 just found out. :D:thumbs::dance:  I would advice everyone to hang in there. I have also contacted my senators and they made inquiries on my behalf, the day I received a letter from them and a day later I was approved. The waiting game is so painful. Wish everyone the best of luck.
