Keeping yourself busy would be a good idea!

Guys, I still have no update about my package being delivered or not... I called the courier company and they're gonna make a research but they can't tell me where the shipment is right now. C'mon, I paid like 100$ for this to be delivered from France in 48hours!!!

I really really hope it isn't lost. For peace of mind. Can you cross your fingers for me??

How long did it take for you to receive the NOA1 by e-mail after uscis received your petition?

Hi, Laure :) As far as I know USCIS sends the e-mail notification as soon as they receive the package and I guess they check it for completeness.

Fingers crossed for you, I hope you get good news soon :)

I don't think our case qualifies for an expedite... Noone is sick, I have a job, no kids, no humanitarian hazard... Colin is a scientist but could that count? He's going back to the States to start a new job in a world class research institute.

Well i do not think you have a situation where a request of expedite is necessary. Did you check out on USCIS website what are the requirement you need to meet to be eligble for expedite?

Got my NOA1 e-notification

First thing I saw when I got up today, I'm feeling relieved! The case is going to CSC, I was hoping for Vermont, but well...

Just curious, does your receipt number start with 129 too? I was surprised when I saw it, thinking, "oh no, they didn't enter it as a fiance case did they??".

And last question, how long did it take for you to be able to see your case status on uscis.gov? The receipt notice tells you to wait till you get the NOA1 hard copy, but I checked anyway and the case number is not recognized yet.

Funny thing on the courier side, they still haven't updated the tracking info, and my shipment still shows "arrived in the US on Nov. 10". Now I'll try to get some of my money back, for they are unable to provide the tracking service I paid an outrageous price for

I am indeed very impatient, waiting has always been painful for me, and I tend to worry too much... I guess this whole immigration experience will teach me patience!:lol:

Well, nothing to do but wait now! Colin is in France until the 1st week of January, so the first part is gonna be smooth. We'll just try to enjoy our last weeks together here!

Good luck to y'all and let's keep each other posted! Don't forget to update your timeline with your NOA1 Rujby, it helps everyone by making the stats more reliable

I see! Well, you can edit it later if you notice that there's a day difference with the e-mail notification.

Since they say they send the hard copy by regular mail, it might take 15 to 20 days for us to get it here in France.

It probably means nothing and it's just coincidental, but after all the reading I did here about the different types of visas and the different forms, it just made me think of K1 fiance visa!

Hoping we'll all have good news soon.
