Well I feel disheartened about this process sometimes as many times I feel like my spouse is not that interested at all. If it wasn't for this site and the people on here I think I would be going mad. Well will see if we get the hardcopy hubby isn't too interested in it as he said we received e-notification which I'm telling him doesn't mean anything, the hardcopy is what counts. Pray for me guys, I wish he would just be on the same page and as interested as I am.

he doesn't like doing paperwork @ all. Well he finally checked and we received our NOA1 hardcopy, i dont have a date to put though. We receieve mail in Florida but he is stationed in another state.

I'm not the USC he is, well he's a military guy more caught up in that than anything else.

He needs to understand that there is no other way to have u come and live with him if it s not through papaerwork. You also needs to be aware of every single details about your case. Did he give u the case number? Can u check notification from USCIS through email?

I have the receipt number and I set up the account on the USCIS site, which is linked to my email, however his email and mobile number is set up for enotification. I know I need to know every detail, I need to know the NVC stage now, as he might be deployed by then and he doesn't want to do the expedite, which would have helped us out a lot. I'm just hoping we get approval soon before all the training and deployment happens.

I was talking to his cousin and she was saying she doesn't understand why he doesn't what to request the expedite. I don't know, think he's just unnecessarily difficult @ times.

I heard that people in the military can have their case expedited pretty easily. Supposedly it's not difficult at all, they have a special phone number they can call and they get help there.

Take your phone, and tell him he needs to be a man about it and face the paperwork, it doesn't kill anyone! Demand that he does his duty by requesting the expedite, when he decided to marry you he accepted to take responsibilities, it's time to show he's able to do his part now!

And tell him I'll come kick his butt if he doesn't do it by the end of the week

You need to have a serious conversation with him about how much he loves you and want you to be by his side. This is something i can not understand, how can somebody accept to live far away from his loved one while he can shorten the distance by requesting an expedite

I know I called the military line, they said all we need to do is make the request on the phone. I got all the information but what's the point cause he's not doing it.

I am not judging but you need to observe him, these are suspicious reactions in relationship. Is he excited about your coming? Every time you talk to him about the process, do you see he is like not talkative, bored, get mad easily? how many times do you guys talk a day?

Well I don't talk about the process a lot, I think he gets jealous when other things take my attention away, we don't talk a lot in the days his job doesn't allow mobile in the building. Apart from that we talk in the evenings and sometimes Skype, we also have a baby together he is 16months as of yesterday. I'm trying to be patient as I know I have a controlling mentality. Plus with everything I end up doing the paperwork, I'm really trying to relax and don't overreact to his current behaviour. No he's not excited, he thinks I'm not going to like it because it's not the city that he is stationed in, its a small town. So because of that he thinks I won't be for the move.

I'm currently a city girl, have my job and I'm super independent and with moving I will be dependent on him for awhile with adjusting and all that.

Well i think it is the reason why he is not rushing because he knows that u will not like the city. You need to be more cooperative and show love to him much more, just show him where he is, the most important is that you are here by his side ( if it s what you really feel). He assumed I didn't want or wouldn't like it, I told him to make me decide on my own, if I like it or not. I'm very cooperative but along with this I have a lot of stuff going on right now. Paperwork and job and life issues.

Well, if I were you, I'd call the number! You're not being difficult or fussy, but come on, he's got a baby and he's not doing any effort to have his family reunited faster

I think you guys need to have a SERIOUS conversation about this process asap. From my point of view, he's being neglecting with you and his child right now, and that is not acceptable. My advice is exactly the contrary of Rujby's: stop asking nicely and "blow in this lungs" like we say in France!
