No. I dont know any time I was touched, didnt have my notifications on. But since I'm sure they are closed until Monday, I don't expect any touches until then anyway.

You need to creat an account on the USCIS first and add your current case status to your port folio. Then, when they touch your case, you will see the date changed in the field" Last updated" That is where the " Touch" came from... I have learned... YAY!!!

lol....yes, I am impatient! I'm a typical american.....I want instant gratification! :D I am the one who has traveled to him. And its not cheap going to Syria. We just want to be a family. In my country when u got married, they give you a marriage certificate ( like a subscription for ) with the registration number. But the real marriage certificate is called " Extract of marriage certificate and they deliver them each year in february. I sent USCIS the marriage certifcation ( subscription form) along with an authorization of the national Archive in my country. I will provide the extract of the marriage in the NVC step once i got it in february.

Oh. I see. Its amazing how different each country is. I can get a visa to Syria in 2 days. Here, we wait months or years just for a visa? It just doesnt make any sense to me. Why cant they all just have the same rules....it would be so much easier.

I'm more impatient than you, I spent my everyday on 2 website, visa journey and USCIS, checking member timelines, looking for touch on USCIS. My wife next trip should be in march, she has no choice then to come every 4 or 5 months because, I'm not going to look else where, I'm christian. The more I'm waiting, the more I'm suffering....wow I do not know what to do to to get my NOA2 in a month.

It was kind of weird. We had to have all kinds of papers, and medical stuff done before they would approve our marriage. Then after approval, I was able to travel there and get married. But, then it was done, and having the papers translated was a piece of cake.

As far as interviews, I don't think I will be interviewed. I believe it will just be him, since he is not in this country. At least that is what I read elsewhere. Some parts of the process still confuse me, but as long as its approved, and quickly, I will be happy!

Good luck to you! And dont worry about the interview. Just be honest.

you expedite it, right? (correct me if I'm wrong). Well, it's really fast, congratulations! You need to prepare all the documents for the next phase, now: the AOS package (I-864) and the IV package. Good luck! :)

No I didn't do anything to expedite it, but it is going fast so far!!

I have a question now that I am wondering about too. For the past several years(and I mean like 20 yrs) I have been going back and forth between the U.S. and Canada on a regular basis, at least monthly, sometimes even once a week or more. We only live about 15mins away from the border crossing, and we are usually across in about 5 - 10 mins if traffic is good.

For years all I had to do was show my birth cert. and no photo id was required. About 3 years ago passports became mandatory, so I have used that to cross back and forth ever since...My wife is the USC and she got her passport at that time as well.

I am sure that they electronically monitor and record our coming over (the US passports have a RF chip built into them so they can just wave it over a scanner), and as of yet we have never had any issues. I guess my question kind of has two parts...

1) They have never ever stamped my passport when going over, they basically just ask how long we plan on staying (which is always only that day for shopping, or maybe sometimes we spend a weekend). So when I do that am I going over as tourists??

Are they supposed to stamp my Passport for only a short stay? I assume not.

2) I have never worried about being denied entry, but am I at risk of being denied entry

We mailed our I-130 at the very end of Oct, got our NAO1 within 2 weeks and now it has been just 27 days since we first dropped them in the mail and we now have our I-130 approval for myself and our 2 kids.

We have not been across since last weekend, but now I am wondering if we can continued to go back and forth, or is this the time when AP would be required?? I am just not sure.

I filed in November too! Sent off on 9-Nov, NOA-1 on 21-Nov via email. We just missed out on DCF via our consulate in Australia. So off to Chicago Lockbox it goes... I had to go through a similar process for my fiance visa to Australia and this is A LOT less stressful the second time around. But it's just as obnoxious waiting around for a decision!

Hope you all hear from USCIS soon!

We're on the same boat here : we missed DCF from Paris embassy for a few months. I wish we had been aware of the process earlier!
